I play with the straw of my drink and look at the guy ahead of me amused. He obviously watched me for some while now. I don't know why, I don't even now him. But he doesn't look dangerous or something. He looks... genuinely nice. Sassy maybe. I tilt my head and decide it is enough now. I down the rest of my drink and get up, strolling over into his direction. But instead of confronting him, I pass him by, breaking the eye contact in the very last second. I see an even more interested look on his face when I reach my friends who stayed on the club's dance floor while I was taking a rest. I smirk and purposely ignore him for the next ten minutes or so, enjoying myself while dancing. That's when he suddenly emerges right next to me. "Hi", he says and I almost jump. I turn to him, seemingly indifferent when in reality he starts to wake my interest. He probably is a bit younger than me, but he surely has some guts. "Hi", I greet back. "You're a great dancer", he continues. He was too, but I wouldn't be so boring to return that compliment. "I know", I just smirk. "How about grabbing a drink and talk a bit?", he asks.. I tilt my head as if I was thinking which makes me catch my friend's suspicious look. I suppress a grin and then look into his eyes again. With a small smile, I shake my head: "I just took a rest, I don't want to waste the time I could be dancing." As if proof, I turn a bit away from him again to continue moving my body to the music. I hear him huffing in disbelief next to me and smirk.
"Know what?", he suddenly speaks up again. I glimpse over to him. He was stubborn. Not necessarily a bad thing. "I partly take it back. You may be a good dancer, but I bet you're not as good as me", he says. Suddenly curious, I stop dancing and turn to him again. "Are you challenging me?", I ask amused. To be honest, I don't know who of us could be better, objectively. But I have faith in my five years of dance training. And his straight-forward sass was getting to me. "What if?", he asks. "Well, let's bet then", I reply. "Taking the bet." "What is in for me?" "I promise not to blame you too much", he smirks. This time I am a bit speechless. "You mean in case – a very unbelievable case – you would win?", I reproach. "Got a better idea?", he asks. "My friends and I always bet on a meal", I answer thoughtless. "Deal", he says before I can take it back. Darn it, I shouldn't have let my guard down just because I was surprised by how beautiful his eyes are. "Let's make it your stupid drink", I suggest hopefully. "We can discuss that later", he shrugs, "Next song will be the deciding one." My competitive spirit gets awakened again and I shake his offered hand. "Ready to lose?", I ask challengingly and he grins. "You tell me", he answers and lets go off my hand.
I smirk when I realize what the song for the challenge was. Golden Child's Ram Pam Pam is a breeze. I hit his hand away that had signalled me to begin oh so generously. Then I throw back my hair and start to dance. A light Samba-like step for the start, we don't want to make it to hard for this guy right away. I know my facial expressions are always on point and while swaying my hips, I approach him until I was right in front of him, then push him back a bit before giving him some space again, signalling him to take over. And he does right away. I watch him surprised as he starts moving. His moves are similar to the original choreo but he pulls it off his own style, improvising here and there. As he lures me take over again with an unbelievable confident smirk, I decide to go all out. Walking straight towards him, I let my tongue run over the corner of my lips teasingly before starting to dance myself again. My style doesn't differ too much from before, but this time it is much more professional. I see how he actually does pay me respect for it while I circle him one time, his eyes fixed on me. His face expression changes and he crosses his arms over his chest, watching me finish until the end of the song even as I give him a chance to prove himself once more.
"So?", I ask a bit out of breath. "Does that mean I win?" "I don't know, ask the others." I raise my eyebrows. "Is that how we decide it?" He chuckles and then shakes his head. "I let you win. I guess you deserve it." I smile proudly. "So, I will have to treat you to a drink now, I guess? Or do you want the meal by chance?", he continues and I roll my eyes. "The drink it is", I shrug, "As long as you don't drug me." "Why should I?", he laughs. "You better not", I say and nod over to my friends who are still watching us, "They keep an eye on you." "They do as well", he grins and motions over to his friends before putting one hand on my back and leading me towards the bar. "By the way", he then says, "I never really intended to win. I get to have a drink with you and even watched you dance like this. I guess I won actually." I would have stopped in disbelief upon his words if it wasn't for him gently but firmly leading me further. I huffed and shook my head. He chuckles and places me on one of the chairs. "If you don't hate me after this drink, how about exchanging phone numbers? I could learn some moves from you." I blink confused, the complete change from simply teasing to polite but straight-forward surprises me. And then I smile, I can't help it. Whatever, I even have to admit that I like him so far. And I would lie saying I ain't down for getting to know him. "Deal", I agree, "But you have to teach me some dancing too in case you get my number." "Promised", he smiles, "I'm Beomgyu by the way." His smile is cute, makes his eyes sparkle attractively. I decide to give him a fair chance. "Y/N", I introduce myself. And for a second, I think that maybe it was a good thing I lost.
