Someone saying 'I'm fine' is basically them saying 'I'm fucked up but I'll put a smile on my face and pretend everything's okay'.

Everyone thinks that I'm so bright, little do they know I sleep with a knife in my pillow every night.

Every thought is a battle, every breath is a war, and I don't think I'm winning anymore.

Life is...
...A series of broken disappointments...
Broken only...
...By dark spells of depression...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Self harm isn't pretty
believe me I know
the point where razors are your best friend
isn't a pretty place to go
Depression isn't normal sadness
it's definitely more
depression is when you feel the madness
but mainly behind close doors
You know why?
Because if you slip up
and let them see
a scar, a tear or a silent scream
they'll all freak out
try to lock you up
afraid that you've gone insane
and that your normal time is up.
Rain, rain, go away,
because of you the pain will stay.
Slit my throat, cut out my heart,
leave me here, tear it apart.
Poison tears stream down my face,
my heart beats at a steady pace.
As I try to stand again;
alone and standing in the rain.
I don't need you anymore...
Is what I think while tears pour.
I hate you like I hate my life;
but love is what cuts like a knife.
Love is death and death is you;
it's pain stains like a black tattoo.
Those memories come back again,
and bind me to the ropes of pain.
Crimson blood streams down my head
like a long, silk ribbon, tied by a thread,
to a platinum bullet, a hole in my soul...
...Now just a memory that's faded and dull...
