"Let's go Halloween shopping!"

I looked at Zion and raised an eyebrow. Zion has always been mellow about Halloween and costumes which is why I'm confused.

"I'm sorry, did you say Halloween shopping?" I asked. Zion nodded and sat next to me on the couch. She crossed her legs and pulled her hair back into a ponytail.

"Yeah. We're gonna go to that Halloween party next weekend, right?"

"That's right. Gosh, I don't even know what I'm gonna wear," I said.

"That's why we're gonna leave the house in the next ten minutes to go find something," Zion said. "If we go now, we won't have to worry about getting a dumb costume last minute."

I hummed and got up from the couch. I walked into my room and decided to change. I got out of class about three hours ago and wanted to change into something more comfortable. I didn't mind wearing what I had on in public, but I know for a fact Zion is not taking me to one store.

With a black crop top, high-waisted jeans, and a pair of black sneakers, I looked at myself in the mirror. I debated on whether I should put makeup on, but decided against it. I grabbed my phone from my nightstand and checked if I had any notifications.

A text from Hawks, but that was it.

'You available today?'

'i'm going out with Zion to go Halloween shopping'

'I'm gonna tag along, is that okay?'

'yeah that's fine, let me tell Zion'

I put my phone in my back pocket and walked out of my room. Zion wasn't anywhere to be seen in the apartment, so I assumed she was in her room. I knocked on her door and she yelled for me to come in. I walked into her room and saw her changing her bra.

"Can you pass me the bra that's on my bed?" Zion asked.

I grabbed the bra and gave it to her, unable to peel my eyes away from her chest. I looked back up at Zion as she talked to me. My eyes kept glancing and I watched her put her bra on.

"You do this every single time I change clothes," Zion said.

"Do what?" I asked, playing dumb.

"You love staring at my tits."

"I'm sorry that they're basically perfect to look at," I said.

Zion laughed and threw on a white v-neck shirt. I looked at her cleavage then looked back up at her eyes. She was shaking her head with a smile on her face. Sometimes, I think I'm in love with Zion, but reality hits me that I'm not and someone else would be lucky to have her.

"When are you getting a boyfriend?" I asked.

"When are you going to stop drinking?" She responded.

"I'll stop eventually," I said.

"I'll get a boyfriend eventually then," She said. "But let me enjoy you before I run off with some guy that sees me as his mom."

"Ugh," I said, rolling my eyes. "Men."

Zion laughed again as she put her shoes on. I walked out of the room and into the kitchen, grabbing my keys off the countertop. My roommate came out of her room and I took in her outfit. A white v-neck shirt, cargo pants, and white slide-on vans.

She looks hot in anything she wears. Damn it.

I grabbed my bag and walked out of the apartment with Zion. She locked the door with the keys and followed me down to the car. I unlocked the car and the both of us got in. I put the keys in the ignition and drove us to the mall.
