It's currently three in the morning and I haven't slept one bit. The cravings were getting to me and I was shaking. I looked over at Dabi who was sound asleep. His chest was rising and falling slowly as he slept on his back. I went to my contacts and pressed Giran's.

'can i pick some bars up?'

I waited for a response. I doubt he's awake right now. I continued to scroll through my phone and I got a text five minutes later.

'Don't have any. Got some Oxy.'

'how much for five?'

'$50'

'can i get them now?'

'Yeah. Here's the address.'

I looked up the address and saw it was a five-minute drive from Dabi's place. I sat up from the bed and grabbed my wallet, looking inside. I had over a hundred in cash. I quietly made my way out of the bedroom and into the kitchen. I was already in my pajamas, but I didn't care. I looked for the keyholder where all the different car keys were hanging. I grabbed Dabi's and made my way to the front door. I slipped my shoes on and snuck out of the house.

The cold November air hit my skin and I shivered. I made my way to Dabi's car and unlocked it, getting inside. I turned the car on and pulled out of the driveway. I shouldn't be driving. I shouldn't even get these drugs in the first place, but I'm going to.

I pulled into an empty parking lot of a post office. There was one other car there and Giran was outside, leaning against the hood. I parked and then got out of the car without turning the vehicle off.

"You're up late," Giran said.

"Haven't been able to sleep," I said. "That's why I asked for the Xannies."

"I have a shipment coming in next week. These Oxys should help you," Giran said, pulling a baggie out of his pocket.

I pulled the money out of my wallet and handed him the money while grabbing the baggie at the same time. Inside there were five barely pink pills with a 20 on them. On the other side of the pill were the letters OC.

"Thanks. I'll see you next week for the bars," I said, then went back to my car.

I got in and closed the door, driving off without looking back. I felt the pills in my hand and my heart started racing a little. I was nervous to try these. I've never done painkillers before. I made it back to Dabi's place not long after and made my way back into the house quietly.

I closed the door slowly and locked it. I put the keys back in the keyholder and snuck up to Dabi's room. I already had a water bottle from earlier and grabbed it. I went to the bathroom and closed the door, locking it.

I opened the baggie and grabbed one of the pills, popping it in my mouth. I swallowed the pill down with water and waited. I took a deep breath and made my way back to Dabi's room. I turned the flashlight on my phone and pointed it at the ground. I found the duffle bag and hid the baggie in a small pocket inside. I placed the water back on the nightstand and turned the light off on my phone.

I slid into the bedsheets and felt Dabi turn over. His arm snaked over my waist and he pulled me into him. My back was pressed against his chest and I felt his breath on my neck.

"Why are you awake, my love?" Dabi asked, voice raspy.

"I can't sleep. The withdrawal is bothering me," I said softly.

Dabi kissed the back of my head and pulled me closer. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Not really. The cravings are really bad and I feel like crying," I admitted.
