feel something by Bea Miller
A loose dark green t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and a pair of Adidas. That's what I was wearing. I weighed my two choices and decided to go to the cabin party. I didn't feel like being around frat guys and a really bright environment.
The house wasn't as big as the last party. This was a two-story house, but it was basically a cabin. The house wasn't in the middle of the woods, but there was a good amount of trees and space between each house in the neighborhood.
I was alone this time. Dabi didn't feel like showing up, and Zion and Hawks had work. I was free to do what I want. I could get as drunk as I want without Zion getting mad at me. Hawks wasn't here to stop me from...other activities.
I looked into the kitchen and saw bottles of alcohol on the countertops. I instinctively went over to the alcohol and grabbed a green solo cup. I looked at my options and decided to put the cup away.
I didn't want to drink tonight. There were a few familiar faces in the crowd, but I wasn't close with them. Just the same people I go to class with. I looked around the house until I felt someone grab my wrist. I turned around and looked at who it was.
It was her. The girl I saw at the last party. Her dark brunette hair fell a little past her shoulders and her dark brown eyes stared into mine. I smiled at her and she let go of my wrist.
"Hey, I saw you at the last party I went to," I said.
She smiled at me and put a strand of hair behind her ear. "Yeah. You looked like you wanted to join or you were really wasted."
I laughed a bit. "A bit of both actually. My friend stopped me, though."
"I saw. I didn't know Hawks was so against that stuff." She said.
"Wait, you know him?" I asked.
"I was in a class with him last semester. He talked a lot, but it wasn't annoying."
We both giggled. She looked around then looked back at me. "Is he not here tonight?"
"No, I came alone."
"Good! Come with me!" She grabbed my hand and walked me up the stairs. She lead me to the farthest room on the second floor then knocked a few times. She opened the door and pulled me into the room.
There were about 5 other people in the room. A guy was laying in the middle of the floor and his pupils were blown. He was staring at the ceiling, his mouth slightly open. Two girls were sharing a joint together. Another guy was laying on the bed, looking completely out of it. The last girl is at a nightstand, snorting a white line.
I was curious about the guy on the floor. I wondered what he was on to be like that. Seeing everyone doing something that me excited for what's to come. The brunette closed the door behind us and pulled out two baggies.
One bag had three white rectangular pills. The other had marijuana in it.
"Pick. What would you like to do?" She asked.
"Can I ask what these pills are?" I asked, grabbing the baggie and inspecting the pills.
"These, my friend, are Xanax."
I've heard plenty about Xanax. I heard it cools you down and you don't remember anything. I was curious about what it will do to me and I wanted to try it. Something told me it was a bad idea, but I didn't care. The feeling was crushing me and I wanted to get it over with.
"I'm gonna try this," I said, opening the baggie. I pulled out one of the pills and held it in my hand. I gave the baggie back to her and looked around the room for something to drink.
