Chapter 12. A Month Later

“Alex.. Are you up, yet?” Peter peeked into their sleeping pad.
Peter and Alex decided to make two separate Tiny houses connected by one main room. The first tiny house is for him and Alex to live in, and the other one is for Russ and Bea. Peter invites Emma sometimes, and he still has not told Emma that he knew the kids were not his. Alex goes to therapy regularly, and Peter goes to couple therapy with him once a week. Russ and Bea are homeschooled, so Alex and Peter sometimes take the kids traveling. They are packing up for another trip next week. They will head towards Washington, then head to Dakota. “Alex, take care of Cole. He’s scared that we would kick him out like Chloe.” Peter held his breath.

“Fine.. I will take care of him even if we break up again. Okay?” Peter smiled.

What they do not know is, the next few days will be one of the most challenging days they would have to face together as a family.
