Child's Play - A Hermitcraft 8 AU

This is the request page for my series Child's Play, an AU where each time a hermit dies, they're brought back to the ages of 4-8 (random each time). Each day of their lives serves as 1 year, meaning that if they're four on Sunday, they'd be seven on Wednesday and so on (giving an example with days of the week, but I don't really use days of the week in this series, although I'm not averse to doing so). All this to say, they stop aging up by adulthood (or whatever their age was to begin with, whether that be headcanon or based off of the irl people--that being said, this is NOT ABOUT THE CCs. MAY I REPEAT AGAIN, THIS IS NOT RPF!!! [More directed at AO3 because of their stupid tagging system in regards to the hermits' names])

The only person that is unaffected by this is TFC, for plot reasons. If he dies, he respawns as his age. He's basically the one all the hermits would go to, if say there wasn't anyone to take care of the child hermits. Like their ultimate lifeline, in a way.

Now, with your understanding of the storyline out of the way, here's how requests work!

I need at least one small hermit, and preferably one adult hermit (or can be teen hermit, just old enough to be able to take care of the small one(s) decently... or without letting them blow up the entire server).

A vague plot would work well too!

And if you have any specific headcanons, please do tell! Whether that be: "Bdubs is scared of phantoms" or "Ren acts like/is a wolf when younger" or anything else for that matter. I'll take almost any headcanon you have, so long as it's not inappropriate. (Btw, I love fear headcanons and anything that includes internal conflict. I headcanon that their viewpoints of themselves and the world still stay true in younger form... so if someone has a fear of being forgotten, they're still going to fear that as a young child.)

Now then, here's an example of what your prompt or request could look like:

"Cleo (small hermit) reads Joe's fanfiction." – Although this is vague, I can expand upon it however I like, either resulting in her wanting Joe to write more stories, or her gaining a fear from something that occurs in the fanfiction.

OR! It can be more specific!

"Cleo (small hermit) runs across Joe's fanfiction (Joehills' ep. 15), reads it, and becomes scared of horses and won't go near Horsehead Farms." – You can include references to what episode you're referring to if it expands upon a canonical event. If it involves an AU, (example being winged Grian) you can tell me as much or as little information about it, like the color of the wings, or what breed of bird he is, or some other random facts you know, as I'm not going to study up on it if I don't want to. If it involves an evil hermit/helsmit, tell me as much as you know or want me to know about said evil hermit/helsmit.

The more specific your request is, the more likely I'll take creative liberties on it. I'm not going to take the prompt too seriously.

If you want to just see a few characters, but don't know what you want, just do something like this: "(young) Grian, (older) Scar". I won't necessarily write about them, but I'll look into ideas I already have and if I have a similar duo, trio, or grouping that you give already planned out, then I may go on to write about it.

On top of this, there are hermits I'm less familiar with, and may not rush to write a story about them for fear it won't turn out well. If you have recommendations on what episodes I should watch of them just to get a feel for how they interact with others, please do tell me.

I will write these hermits, and out of all of them, I'm most familiar with Keralis, so I probably will write him. Just know that I may write these guys based off of fanfictions I've read and may not have a huge idea of my headcanons for them.

Last but not least, I have some general rules for you:

No ships – I already don't care for shipping in this fandom, but on top of that, it's about kid hermits, so that makes me even more uncomfortable. I'm cool writing really close friends, and sibling-like dynamics though!
Nothing NSFW – For obvious reasons. Look above.
Nothing including perma-death – This AU is for lighthearted purposes. I'm cool with heavy angst like the next person, and while death in this AU is perfectly fine (and it's how the stories exist!), perma-death defeats its purpose and is a little too dark.
No swearing/cussing – Meaning no stories that rely on it, or have it as a headcanon
If it's gotta be rated M, it's probably a no. [Based off of the AO3 rating system]

In general, I'm pretty cool about writing anything, even if it's a bit dark. That's why I say "probably a no" on M, because if it's dark, it'll probably be rated T. I won't typically write gore and stuff for this AU, but there is a small chance of it.

Everything is posted more frequently on AO3 as I'm more used to using that browser, but I should get to posting everything that's finished thus far to here. Please be patient with me as I work. I've got a busy life too, and I'm sometimes bad with prioritizing things. I'll get through what I can though!
