He closed his eyes and leaned in. You watched him and went rigid. You squeezed your eyes shut, waiting for the kiss. But it didn't happen. When you opened your eyes J-Hope's nose was almost touching yours. "Now we're even!" He said teasingly to your...
Upon arriving back home, Ashley came running at you. Firing away a barrage of questions. "What happened? What did you do? Did you eat? Where did you go? Was he flirty? Was it a date? Did he kiss you? Will there be another date?" "Ash!!" You yelled to stop her. She didn't seem to be breathing she was talking so fast. "We just walked on the beach, chill out." You breathed in, almost breathing for her. She titled her head looking at you. "That's it?" You nodded, not really disclosing anything else. That information no one needed to know right now. You wanted to keep it to yourself because you didn't know what it meant.
Ashley put her hands on her hips disappointed. "He isn't into you?" You only shrugged. You truly didn't know. You weren't lying about that. "I don't know Ash, I just want to go to bed, okay? I'll talk more tomorrow." You gave her a quick hug and headed to bed.
The next morning once you got out of the shower, you checked your email, you had a new email from Big Hit Staff. You inhaled deeply before opening it. You tapped on it and read the contents. After reading it, you dropped your phone, shocked. What were you going to do? You had to talk to Ashley about this. You walked into the kitchen where she was having some coffee. She raised up her cup to greet you.
"I got an email from Big Hit." Her eyes shot up at you, looking surprised. "Well?" You swallowed deeply. "They are shooting a music video in three months. In Korea. If I want to be in the video I'd have to fly over there. That was the jest of it."
Ashley took the last gulp of her coffee and got up. "What do you want to do?" You rubbed your eyes with your thumb and index finger, "I don't know, that is so far away. That will cost so much and interfere with my schooling." Ash nodded, taking in your worries. "Right, but this is a huge deal." She bounced back. She was right, of course. This was an opportunity of a lifetime. You didn't know what to do.
Ashley pulled you into a warm hug. "Just think about it from all angles. I'll help you pay for a ticket. This isn't a decision that should be made within a few hours." You hugged her back tightly. You didn't want her to pay for anything and you wouldn't let her. But the offer made your heart warm and fuzzy. You had a great friend.
You sat in your room quietly to yourself. You thought over every aspect of this decision. This could be a giant jump in the right direction for your career. On the other hand it was going to be super pricey, and you would miss school for who knows how long. You didn't know how long this shoot would go on for. You were so frustrated that you teared up. You wish the answer was an easy one. Of course it seemed like it was, but the consequences were there.
Looking at the dates on your calendar on your phone, you were trying to figure some things out. You would miss the end of your semester. If you could convince your teachers to let you take the finals early then maybe you could go. If you explained the situation to them then maybe they would understand. You sighed, aggravated. The answer was simple, but the route getting there was not.
A text message came in and it popped up at the top of your screen. It was from J-Hope, you instantly smiled seeing it was from him.
"I heard the emails were sent out. Did you get yours?"
"Yes." You did get it, but that didn't make anything easier, it made it more difficult.
"So you'll have to come to Korea to shoot with us! So exciting!" He was so cute, always a ray of sunshine. Hence his nickname appointed by ARMY.
"Maybe. I haven't decided yet."
"You haven't?"
"No.."
"Well we should talk about it! We can grab some dinner."
You held your breath, he wanted to see you again? So soon? You weren't sure talking to him would make anything easier. He didn't understand your financial and academic situation like you did. Of course it would be an easy decision for someone like him. Would he really be able to see things from your perspective? Regardless of whether or not he could help you make your decision, you wanted to see him. You'd be crazy not to want to.
"I don't know, last time we went out, a lot of people looked at you. Maybe recognized you."
"So?"
"So I don't want to cause you any trouble."
"Have a different plan?"
You thought for a second. You still couldn't even believe you were texting with J-Hope. He had given you his number and trusted you with it. You didn't want him to get into trouble being seen with you. BTS was worldwide now, even in the US plenty of people knew their faces. It was risky going out together last time. You held your breath when you had an idea.
"We could have some food delivered here at my apartment."
You pushed the air out you were holding in your lungs. You just asked Jung Hoseok, J-Hope, Hobi, Mr. Sunshine to your apartment. You hoped he didn't see it as a date. You hoped he wouldn't be offended or wouldn't feel unsafe. You had his best interests in mind. You wanted to protect him.
"Okay. =) Send me the address."
You choked on your own saliva, not expecting him to give in that easily. He was so sweet. You knew there was some things to prepare. You had to deep clean your house; you knew J-Hope was a bit of a clean freak. You also had to get Ashley out of the house, you didn't want her here to try and embarrass you. God knows what she'd say if you three were alone.
You sent him your address and told him to pick a day. It didn't matter to you; his schedule was more hectic than yours. He decided on tomorrow night, which gave you anxiety. You needed to begin deep cleaning now.
Yanking open your bedroom door, you yelled for Ashley. She came running to you, worried by your strained tone. "Will you do me a gigantic favor?" You asked her nervously, you knew she was going to tease you about this. "Can you be out of the apartment tomorrow evening?"
Ashley looked at you curiously, then moved her eyebrows up and down. "Ohhh do we have a date?" You giggled at her expression. "Not a date, but I invited J-Hope over here." She jumped around, clapping. "Get some girl!" You shook your head, annoyed with her jumping to conclusions. "It's not like that Ash!" She stopped jumping and gave you a nod. "Whatever you need." You gave her a brief hug and then went to get an armful of cleaning supplies. Time to wash this whole house.
