A Lifetime Together (pure vanilla x reader)

Part.3-the castle

"Ah Pomegranate, you can leave. I'll handle this myself. It's more of a private matter anyways." The red haired cookie next to Dark Enchantress nodded and left the room. Leaving me, her and half unconscious Pure Vanilla Cookie.

I knew I needed to do something, it was only a matter of time before she found me again.

I didn't have time to think so, I quickly sneaked behind the pillar and snatched my staff. (by the help of Pure Vanilla who was faking an injury) Dark Enchantresses back was turned this time so I had the upper hand. Hopefully.

I had used a magical attack against her.. although it seemed that she was already prepared  for that.

She quickly dodged and ran up to me, both of us now having a one-on-one battle.

Something was off about this battle though. It seemed that none of her attacks were bad enough to crack my skin. I knew she was stronger than this.. was she holding back? In reference to her older words, I started speaking again.

"IM NOT REBUILDING SHIT. IM HERE TO TAKE LILY BACK. I WANT MY BEST FRIEND WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND??" Both of us still fighting, and both of us not actually hurting each other in any physical way,  I tried to see if I could let her have a change of heart. If she really had gotten rid of Lily completely.

"LILY IS GONE. SHE'S DEAD. SHE'S NEVER COMING BACK GET THAT INTO YOUR HEAD."

"NO SHES NOT. I CAN SEE HER IN YOUR EYES EVERY TIME YOU SPEAK. STOP SHUTTING HER OUT. I TOLD YOU BEFORE, I CAN HELP YOU. I WANT TO HELP YOU. PLEASE TELL ME AND WE CAN FIX ALL THIS."

I couldn't hit her either, both of us did care for each other no matter the situation. It was hard to hate her.

Silence had filled the room, awaiting for the storm that was gonna happen any second.

"you... WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT AN IGNORANT PIECE OF SHIT LIKE YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND-? I GOT RE-BAKED ALIVE. I SAW THE WITCHES. I SAW THEM EAT MY FRIENDS. IM NOT GONNA SIT HERE AND LISTEN TO YOUR STUPID HERO TALK YOU GET ME?"

...

I lowered my staff.

Re-baked alive..?

I couldn't help but give her a hug, I knew it wasn't logical but I also knew both of us needed it. I felt bad for not being there for her. She had deserved so much better.

"No matter what the witches do, or which form you take, I'm so glad I got to be your friend. I couldn't be there for you, when you most needed it. I know the that speaking now won't change the past so please, let me make it up to you now."

...

"I'm sorry. "

Dark Enchantress was hesitant at first but she ended up hugging back.

"Why... why can't you be rude to me. Why can't you diss me after all I have done..?" I could sense confusion in her tone, she had been battling with her own feelings all this time..?

"Because I know that you can change for the better again, we can all live in peace once more, I can help you just.. please listen to me." I looked down her back to realize that her clothes had.. changed color.

I broke the hug for a split second to check what was happening.

"Hey- is that nor- HOLY SH-" I quickly stumbled back, seeing White Lily in front of me once again after many years.

I couldn't hold in my tears.

"IS IT THAT BAD-?"

"NONONONO ITS NICE, I MISSED YOU SO FUCKING MUCH-" I couldn't help but hug her once more, this time a bit tighter than the first.

Pure Vanilla got off of the ground and healed the fake injury he had. I needed to thank him for all that later.

White Lily apologized to all of us in an attempt to make it less awkward after 10 years. Honestly, it wasn't awkward for a single second.

We all talked. Laughing, crying, just trying to remember old memories. I had a crucial thing I had to ask Lily though. I needed to know if she remembered "him."

"hey uh- can I have a moment with Lily? If you don't mind?" Pure Vanilla cookie nodded as I pulled Lily a bit away from him so that he wouldn't hear. Since this part wasn't just a conversation to throw around.

"What did you want to Ask?" Lily said, re-braiding her hair that had been messed up due to her other form.

"Look Lily, you know how I don't remember a lot right? Well, I remember the group. The ancients. But there's one face missing that I can't piece together,,, could you tell me who that is?" She nodded with a confused smile.

"Explain how they were, or how they acted."

"Well.. they studied with us. Uhm. Fully hair, I don't remember a single part of his face. They also were taking part in the cookie making project with us. Do you know them?"

Lily didn't respond, she just started laughing her heart out. "HA- well you see dear Y/N, your a great friend but it afraid you'll have to figure that out on your own." I frowned while she was still laughing.

"I appreciate the help then. I'll have to visit the other kingdoms too,, where is the closest kingdom to here?"

"Hollyberry's kingdom. I'll come help lead the way."

One kingdom after the other, I needed to find everyone and get things back to normal.

I had a promise to fulfill, even if the due date was long ago.
