"Kick my ass? Gee, how charmin' you are, human."

You squealed, startled by the voice next to your ear. Turning, you found Cartoon Cat leaning on your shoulder, his face way too close for comfort. His breath brushed against your neck, and his trademark cocky grin stretched across his face. Both Andy and Bella instinctively took a step back.

"C-Cat! Don't sneak up on me like that!" you stammered, glaring at him.

"Heh, as IF" he said, his black eyes gleaming as he stared at you. Then, finally noticing Andy and Bella standing nearby, an awkward silence settled over the room.

He stared back at them, and an awkward silence flooded the area.

"Errr... Pals o' yours, I assume?" Cat looked at you, giving you a look that said: "INTRODUCE US DAMNIT".

Sighing, you nudged him off your shoulder. He stumbled, catching himself before glaring at you, brushing imaginary dust from his fur.

"Andy, Bella—this is Cartoon Cat. Cat, meet Andy and Bella." You gestured between them, and Cat's tail swayed nervously as he eyed them, oddly concerned about making a good impression. The idea of it made him squirm.

"Nice to meet'cha, nice to greet'cha! Cartoon Cats the name, Cat if ya please." Cat stretched out his arms, elongating them in a cartoonish fashion to shake both of their hands at the same time. Bella and Andy jerked awkwardly as Cat's inhuman grip jostled them back and forth like rag dolls.

"That's... new," you muttered, raising an eyebrow.

"I told ya, I can manipulate my mass," Cat said smugly, releasing their hands. Bella and Andy looked slightly disoriented from the rough greeting.

Once the shaking subsided, Bella was the first to speak, her usual warmth returning. "Hi... Cat. Nice to meet you," she said with a tentative smile, twisting a lock of her blue hair nervously between her fingers. "I'm Isabelle Harper, You can call me Bella." She said tensely.

"Isabelle! Well, ain'tcha just a lovely lass." Cat's eyes sparkled at the sight of an unnatural hair color.

Cat's compliment seemed to relax Bella, and she touched a string of her blue hair and twirled it between her fingers.

"Why thank you" She looked a little confused, she gave a slightly calmer smile.

Cat then turned his attention to Andy, who was still processing the handshake.

"Heh, quite the grip you've got there, Cat," Andy said, chuckling nervously, trying to defuse the lingering awkwardness.

Cat let out a hearty laugh, clearly pleased. "Many thanks, human. I take pride in it."

Andy breathed out and looked a little more laid-back.

Andy relaxed, his smile growing more natural. "I'm Anderius McCray, but Andy's fine. Looks like we're gonna get along just fine."

Cat seemed pleased with his impression of Andy and Bella. You glanced at him, and his tail stood right up, the same as his ears. His smile was usually mocking, flirtatious, cocky, or just straight-up terrifying, but this time his smile seemed genuine. You raised your eyebrows, you had never seen him act like this before.
