You had just eaten lunch, and Ms. Fuller was already dragging you and Cat back to the council room.
A day had gone by since the meeting with the council, and you and Cat were being taken to another meeting. You sighed and complained in your head. A big factor of your irritation was that you were taken to a meeting to do interviews on a no-work day. You were starting to believe that this sudden "interest" of the council was only a disguise for the organization to make you work in your free time. And the other part was due to poor sleep, as you were not able to sleep because of the weird behavior that Dr. Mills demonstrated in the council room.
The same old corridors of the foundation had since long turned boring to you, and Cat walked beside you. He seemed to be in a bad mood this morning, but when he saw you his mood seemed to improve. His tail was up in the air and he skipped away beside you, a slight smile on his face.
You really did have a bad feeling about today and the meeting in the council room, as if something were to happen. Your gut feeling was usually correct, which deeply concerned you. Though, on the bright side, Cat's cheerful mood relaxed you to an extent.
Cat looked over at you, he noticed you staring at him and he gave you a satisfied smirk. You blushed of embarrassment and quickly looked away. Your facial expression speedily shifted from an embarrassed one to a concerned one as you continued to ponder about your bad feeling. Cat noticed your worry and decided to check on you:
"Hey Angel, ev'rythin' alright?" Cat whispered, waking you up from your worried trance.
"Ah! Y-yes, I'm just a little tired" You were startled and you stammered a little.
"Ya sure? Y'know I'd like to know if somethin's botherin' ya" Cat looked away slightly, he leaned over slightly to match your height, with him being taller than you.
"Yes, I'm sure. Thank you for asking though..." You gazed into his black eyes and smiled gently. Cat seemed to get stuck staring at you, before he finally forced himself to look away.
You smiled to yourself as you walked beside him, blushing a bit. To your surprise, Ms. Fuller hadn't interrupted your conversation, even though she could hear you loudly and clearly.
After having walked for a minute or two, you arrived at the big door that was the entrance to the council room. It seemed like they changed the password every day, as Ms. Fuller typed in another password this time. The number combination was the same though.
Ms. Fuller typed, the password was: SADIEKILLER, and the number combination was still 488932.
She opened the door for you two, as you walked in and she firmly shut the door behind you.
3 Pairs of eyes observed you neatly, as a voice spoke up:
"Dr. L/N! Welcome back." Ms. Dunn spoke in a well-mannered and friendly way, and you smiled slightly.
"Greetings." You nodded to all the members. Ms. Dunn had her black hair in a messy bun and her eyes had heavy bags under them. Dr. Neel was tapping rapidly with his foot on the floor, observing you and giving you a nod as a greeting. Dr. Mills looked a lot less angry today, but he really didn't look pleased either. You got a bad vibe from him, it was like he had a plan or something...
"Come sit." Dr. Neel looked up at you, waving you over. You did as he said and Cat followed.
You sat down at the chair, beside Cat and parallel to the council members.
"So, we have a different request for you today" Ms. Dunn cleared her throat and straightened out a piece of paper. She had a laptop in front of her.
You nodded slowly, wanting to know their application for you.
