Madison
My children and I arrived in front of the Elizabeth Park dressed in disguise so people won't recognize me to make this day a quiet one.
I wore jeans, and a shirt and shoes fit for a mother of three. My children all looked very domestic, nothing to make them the center of attention.
I fixed the stroller for Alana. Alec looked very excited.
"I love the trees!" Alec spoke as he jumped in joy.
"You're too loud" Artie said as he tries to stop his younger brother.
We all walked towards the entrance, and there we saw William already waiting.
"Is that William or Daddy?" Artie asked.
"It's William" I told Artie. I waved on him, just a friendly wave.
"Hello boys, and this cute little baby" William greeted the children.
"Her name's Alana" Alec said.
"You came here from New London?" Artie asked.
"Yes, I came here about two days ago. I was in a Book fair." William replied.
"What's a book fair, mommy?" Alec asked me.
"It's a day about books, different books." I told him.
"I'd love to go in a book fair." Alec said.
"I'll take you there next time, if you like." William said to Alec.
"Really? Thank you!" Alec rushed to William and gave him a hug.
I started to think about Charles again, what if he's here?
"Madison" William said.
"Yes?" I replied.
"We should be coming in." he said.
"Yeah, you're right" I told him.
We entered Elizabeth Park, and there are so many other people in. They are having so much fun. And as I look at my children, I think they are having a good time too.
We picked a bench, and sat on it.
I carried Alana and started feeding her with a feeding bottle.
Alec is looking around, while William is talking to Artie.
"I found something!" Alec said. He came and was holding a frisbee.
"Is this a plate?" Alec asked.
"No honey, it's not a plate." I told him.
"That's a frisbee, you want to play?" William asked.
"Yes yes!" Alec said.
I just watched them playing, throwing the frisbee to each other. Artie seems to like it too. They loved it, they loved where we are.
Alana on the other hand, is sleeping. My little girl is the only one missing this day.
After some time, it's only Alec and Artie playing. William sat beside me.
"They are great kids" William spoke.
"Yes they are. Well, uhm thank you for doing this for them" I told him.
"It's nothing. I'm glad that I spend this time with them." William replied.
"You know about yesterday, I think it's a mistake that we can forget now, right?" I told him.
