What should I do? What should I do about William? Not to lie, but William kind of remind me about Charles not just because their resemblance is uncanny, but their personalities although Charles appeared cold when we first met, then he became someone who was selfless like William.
I cannot think of anyone else to tell what just happened at the Elizabeth Park, not even my mother who is a friend of William's parents, not even Luke because he is in a lot of stress with Camilla, and even Jeremiah who I know will be so worried about how things will turn out to be.
Since Charles passed away, it felt like I am not a widow but it turned out that I am still married, not with a person, but to their family's business. Charles naming me his heiress since our children are so young made me responsible to all what he had left.
I keep telling myself, I have no time for love, I just can't be in love. Not just because I have three young children, but I have a commitment with Elmyra that dating someone is not on the table in anyway.
But could I make an exception? Should I be dating him?
------------------
That morning, thank God I have no work to do because it's a Sunday. Mom and I divided tasks to take care of the children and bring them to the mass with the both of us.
Mom took care of my two older boys, while I take Alana. I bet we will sit on the back because Alana's pretty noisy now that she can say more words.
"Madie, you didn't say Henry's son's in town. I invited him to come with us in church." Mom said.
"How did you know he's here?" I asked her.
"I also visited Henry and Eleanor yesterday, they told me there's son's here for some book club things" Mom replied.
"That's great." I replied. I cannot believe fate is doing well with the fact that I will cross paths again with him.
----------------------
After a while, we arrived at the church and there we saw William dressed for church with a tie.
"He's here!" Alec said.
"Uncle Will" Artie said as he comes close to him.
"Hey" William said to Artie and Alec.
"Well, William you are early." Mom said to him. I didn't say a word and just smiled at him.
"It's church Mrs. Baker, I cannot be late." William replied.
"You don't have to call me Mrs. Baker, call me Marianne." Mom said.
"Madison." William greeted,
"William" I told him.
He comes with us inside the church. I am carrying Alana and she seems to be quiet this time. William sat beside me, while the boys sat beside him and Mom.
We came too early.
"Hey" William whispered to me.
"Hey." I told him too.
"Have you made up your mind?" he asked me.
"We can't talk about this now." I whispered back.
"Alright." he said.
------------------------------
After church, we are all outside and my Mom seems to be enjoying speaking with William. She tells him about the old days, when both my Dad and his were cops.
I on the other hand, are watching my children to be at their best behavior.
"Would you like to come home with us for lunch?" Mom asked William.
"That would be lovely." William replied.
Now, my mom is bringing him home to have lunch with us.
---------------------------
William had lunch with us, and my Mom and my children are very happy that he is there. He talked about books, and what funny things his customers had asked him when he is working at the store.
I laughed about it, that for a moment I forgot about my problems.
Right after lunch, my mother and William are still talking. I put Alana to her crib because she got tired of the whole thing we did in the morning.
After awhile, I stayed with Alana to make sure she have a good sleep.
Then my Mom comes inside Alana's room.
"Mom?" I said, as I am surprised that she came unannounced.
"I forgot that the boys are invited with Francine's grandson's birthday. I'll bring them with me to the party, you take care of William for awhile. Alright?" Mom said.
"He's still here?" I said to her.
"Yes, and I invited him to stay over for the next couple of days. He told me his hotel wasn't nice." Mom said. Mom what did you just do??
"It's a lot of information for a minute." I told her.
"I'm sorry about that sweetie, but William is a very nice man, let's discuss this later." Mom said as she hurriedly leaves the room.
"Boys! are you dressed?" I heard Mom asked the boys.
I went downstairs, and saw them leaving, and only William remaining.
"Where are all the maids you have?" William asked.
"They're not here on weekends, I try not to spoil the kids so much having them around." I told him.
"That's good news." He replied.
"I heard my Mom offered you to stay here for the remaining time of your stay." I told him.
"She did. I refused, but she insisted." William replied.
"I'll come check if there's a room prepared, the maids are not around so I'll just check." I told him.
"I'll come with you." William replied.
Both him and I proceeded to go upstairs, there are a bunch of rooms, and I can't tell if they're ready for guests.
I started opening doors, both him and I get to see the rooms that are not ready. Most of the beds are out of sheets.
"I am getting tired of opening doors." I told him.
"What about this room?" William pointed on my room.
"That's my room." I told him.
I opened the door and showed him the room.
"Did your husband sleep in that room?" He asked. I don't know why he would bring up my husband.
"He did." I told him.
He came close to me.
"I hope he didn't mind if I sleep there." William said as he began to kiss me.
This is wrong, but I can't make myself stop. William and I entered the room and he closed the door. He carried me to the bed. He started taking of his shirt, then we continued sharing kisses.
I can no longer remember the last time I had done such thing, maybe that's the reason I didn't have to stop him.
He helps me take off my clothes, then he showered my body to his kisses. I moan as he go down to my sex.
And after while he inserts his erection inside me.
