Charles

"I think it's best that you all go home." I looked at Madison.

"I think it's best that Madison and the rest of your illegitimate children leave your home." Camilla said. Camilla really hate Madison, I know the reasons why she really hated her, but Madison doesn't deserve anything bad from her.

I won't be taking anybody's side. Madison whom I had a brief affair with as William is really my wife, and this girl Camilla happens to be my sister. I think it's best that I stick with what I think is right, and in the end I just hope I could get enough money for Mom's surgeries to come.

"No Camilla, no one is leaving." I told her.

"Are you coming home to us?" Madison asked. She sounded like she's begging, now I get why she can't just be with someone else except her husband, I mean me. I still am trying to be Charles again, and I think I'm not good at all.

"I will" I said. I don't know where my answer came from, but I said it.

"Charles? Are you crazy?!" Camilla looks even angrier now.

"You said it's my home. I'm coming home." I told her.

"You should go now." I told Madison. Madison said then she left the office. Poor girl, she really is into Charles, she follows him like a dog.

It's just me and Camilla now.

"We've talked about this! You are going to stay in your apartment while the lawyer is working on everything." She said.

"I didn't agree with that, besides I have my children. They need me too." I told her.

"Whatever you say, I just hope you will agree with me to divorce your gold digging wife." Camilla said.

"Camilla, calm down." I told her.

I stepped out of the office and saw Jeremiah waiting.

"Is it really him? But that's the book guy, right?" Jeremiah asked.

"I felt it the first time I saw him, but I thought I'm just fooling myself." I told him.

"I'll speak to him once Camilla's gone." Jeremiah replied.

"Thank you." I told him then I took Alana with me.

"Where are you going now?" he asked.

"He told me that we should go home now." I told him.

"Alright. I'll call you later if anything comes up." Jeremiah replied.

Charles

After upsetting Camilla, she finally left me alone. I love the peace, I love that no one's bothering me at this rate. I started looking around, trying to think of anything around here to remember. Then I saw a photo of myself, Charles Newman in expensive suit and tie like the ones I'm wearing now. This man is me, a billionaire, Hartford's Billionaire.

Then I saw another photo next to it, me and Madison. This must be our wedding day, it wasn't as elegant and expensive at all. There is just me, and her in a white dress.

"Hi." I heard someone opening the door. It's Jeremiah.

"Come in." I told him.

"William? Charles?" he is asking me what I prefer getting called.

"Call me what you're comfortable with." I told him.

"You're so formal, then it means you haven't have your memories back." He said.

"That's true." I told him.

"Well, to tell you I am your cousin. We bonded when we were younger especially when my mother, Alana passed away. And as I recall, you told your wife to name your daughter next to my mother before you were gone. You even told me everything going on, with you and you told me that if ever something happened to you, that I should come here and help your wife." Jeremiah said.

"So I trusted you." I told him.

"Yes, and with regards to your sister, you told me she went crazy when your mother died. She became really mad at your wife." Jeremiah said.

"I knew that already." I told him.

"It's pretty obvious, isn't it?" Jeremiah said.

"It is." I told him and we bought laughed.

"If you need anything, then you can call me. I'll be working here, not unless you want me fired." He said.

It's getting late, and Mom said she's not coming home to stay with Eleanor for awhile. I have already made the kids go to bed, so it's just me waiting for Charles.

I heard a car from the outside. I rushed to open the gate and see him.

"You're awake." He said as he step out of his car.

"I thought you're not coming." I told him.

"You really love him, don't you?" he said.

"Who?" I asked him.

"Your husband." He replied.

"You mean you." I told him.

"No, not me. I'm just someone dressed like your husband." he said.

"What are you saying?" I asked him.

"I may not be William, but I am not Charles either. I don't think I'd be Charles." he replied.

"You just don't remember who you are." I told him. I am hurt with the words coming from him, it felt like things will never be the same.

"I might not remember who I am." he replied.

"You will." I told him.

We headed inside the house.

"I'll be sleeping in the guest room." He said.

"Alright." I told him.

"Is your mother here?" he asked.

"No, she's with Eleanor." I told him.

"I see." He replied.

"I'll be going now." I told him.

He didn't respond, he just went inside the room where he used to sleep. I remained awake, trying to think of a plan to make him feel the same way as before. I just wished I stopped him when he walked out of this room, or even stayed with him on the yacht.

------------

"Madison, hey" It's Charles.

"Oh, what time is it? I have to go to..." I am awakened.

"You don't need to work now." he said.

"Oh I forgot." I looked at him and he is wrapped in a towel fresh from a shower. I pretended it doesn't bother me.

"Where are my clothes?" He asked me.

"There" I pointed to the door of his enormous walk in closet.

"Thank you" he told me.
