Madison
The next day, I don't know how to tell William that I don't want to be with him. I don't know how to say it, or I just don't want to say it? I am confused with what I feel.
I love my husband, and I told myself early that I won't love anyone the way I love him, but I can't hide the fact that there's something about William that I can't explain. I want him to be in my life, I want him to be a part of it, but it's impossible.
I am in the office, and Jeremiah and I are talking about what will be the good thing to do with Alfred's business.
"If you want me to be in charge of Vermont, I'll be there." Jeremiah said.
"No, I don't want you to go away. You're the only one I can count in here." I told him.
"I think it's best that we observe the business with the same management for a while then we will see if we need to change things up." I told him.
"But it requires someone going to Vermont to monitor the situation." He said.
"We can have Ms. Fernandez, she's the Acting CEO. We can get date from her." I told Jeremiah.
"You can't. We can't fully trust her to bring us honest reports. It's not like she would want to give negative ones." He said.
"Then I don't have a choice, but to really send you there." I told him.
"So it's set. We will be in Vermont for three days to claim your ownership, then I'll be staying there for about a month." Jeremiah said.
"Yes, that's it. But I will definitely miss you being around at the office." I told him
"I'll be back before you know it." Jeremiah replied.
"What happened about that Bookstore guy, did you tell him you're dumping him?" Jeremiah asked.
"I haven't told him." I said.
"Do you like him or love him?" Jeremiah said. I cannot answer him straight.
"Oh no, it took you a while to say your answer. You must be into him a lot." Jeremiah said.
"I don't like him the way you think I do." I told him, just to remove his assumption.
"You know if it's just me I will definitely support you. But it's not just me, there's the other part of the family who will use any weakness of yours to bring you down. And we don't want that to happen." Jeremiah said.
"I told him so many times that I can't pursue him." I told Jeremiah.
"Well, maybe the way you say it doesn't convince him." Jeremiah said. And I think he is right.
"You know the moment you kisses him back gives him the sign that you like or love him. That's why he's not giving up, just don't let him take you to bed." Jeremiah said.
"Well..." I don't know what to say now, how can I say to him that we already slept twice?
"Well, what? Did you sleep together already?" Jeremiah said.
"Yes. No." I can't tell him this.
"Madison, you are really in trouble with that guy. Well I hope you just did it once" Jeremiah said.
"Well, it's twice already." I told him.
"Seriously Madison, twice already with just a couple of days?" Jeremiah cannot believe it.
"Yeah, I messed up really bad." I told him.
"I don't know if I can help you anymore." Jeremiah said.
