Madison
I keep laying on the bed with him trying to assess the situation. I can't even look at him on my side, I just can hear his deep breathing.
"That's amazing." He broke the silence.
I can't say anything to him, I tried to construct anything to say to him, but I failed to do so.
"Madison." He called me, trying to make me speak.
"What?" I finally said something.
"Are you going to say anything?" he asked.
"No. Yes." I told him in all honesty.
"Are you agreeing to go out with me?" he asked.
"I don't know William." I told him.
"You should know." He said.
"It's a risk we're taking." I told him.
"It's worth the risk anyway." He said then he kisses my forehead.
Then I heard Alana crying from the baby monitor on the bedside.
I got up, put my clothes back on.
"You should get dressed, my Mom and the kids will be here in no time." I told him.
I got out of my room to got to Alana.

That afternoon, William told us that he will be getting his things to move in our home for the next couple of days.
Right now I can feel that everything will be awkward between us. I don't like to give him a false hope, but I already gave that to him earlier when we slept together.
-----------------
The next day, I left early to go to work. I just have a couple of minutes to check on my kids before I left. I didn't know exactly what happened when William moved in, I don't want to look too excited or happy that he's here.
This must be what Charles felt when I first got here, that he doesn't want to look so affected with the whole thing.
When I got in the office, Jeremiah had welcomed me.
"I have some good news for you." he told me.
"What's that?" I don't know any possible good news from Jeremiah. Unless, Camilla dropped the lawsuit.
"You remember Alfred Nolan" Jeremiah said.
"Absolutely, how can I forget about him?" I asked.
"Is he awake?" I suddenly asked.
"No, he's not, but the thing is..." Jeremiah paused.
"What?" I asked, now I am so interested.
"Nolan has no other relative that has something to do with his company in Vermont. So his COO stepped in for him, but then his lawyer discovered Nolan's last will and testament in one of Nolan's safe. And guess what's written on the will" Jeremiah spoke.
"I don't know, I barely know the guy." I told him.
"Well, the Will was written for about 10 years ago. It says there that the person he wanted to give all his riches incase of his untimely death is Helen." Jeremiah said.
"Why would he give everything to Helen?" I said.
"It's about ten years ago, maybe they were still together. Alfred Nolan's an only child, his parents died earlier and his relatives has nothing to do with him." Jeremiah said.
"But Helen's dead." I told him.
"Which means her son will have everything. And because you're the guardian of Artie then it goes to you." Jeremiah replied.
"Are you sure?" I asked him.
"Yes, absolutely. Dayarna Fernandez, Nolan's former COO called and she wanted you to know. " Jeremiah said.
"But Alfred Nolan is still alive, he's in a coma." I told Jeremiah.
"There is no certainty that Alfred will wake up, it's been years Madison." Jeremiah said.
I cannot believe it.
"She wants you to come in Vermont to officially take over for a while then you will automatically be in-charge once Nolan's gone." Jeremiah said.
"I don't know how to handle two large businesses, Jeremiah. I just started with Elmyra and I can't be handling another one." I told him in all honesty.
"It's new to me too. I promised Charles that I will help you, we will figure this out." Jeremiah said.
"Thank you for everything Jeremiah, I really appreciate all your help." I told him.
"It's the least I can do." Jeremiah said.
----------------------
When I got home, the children are already home from school too. They are spending time with William while my Mom is cooking dinner.
"Mommy!" My children said as I walk to them.
"Look Mommy, we're painting." Alec said. Alec's face is filled with paint.
"I see." I told him as I wash off paint from his face.
"How's work?" William asked.
"It's fine" I told him.
"Madison." William said my name.
"I'll go change." I told him.
I don't have the time to play games with William right now. I don't know how I could be working for Elmyra and Vermont.
We then had dinner, and Mom noticed how quiet I am.
"Madie, you are never this quiet" Mom said.
"I'm just tired Mom." I told her.
The rest of them are talking, but I am not interested in joining the conversation. I am still worrying of how can I keep two businesses going.
-----------------------------
That night, I stepped out of my room to go to the kitchen and to drink wine. I don't usually drink, but I think I need one right now. I keep on drinking, not counting how many times I poured wine to my glass. It keeps coming.
"Madison?" It's William's voice.
"Yeah" I am not in the right mind right now.
"I got thirsty so I decided to get some. Wait. are you drinking at this late hour?" William said.
"Yeah." I told him again.
"Do you mind if I join you?" he asked.
"No" I told him.
He joins me for a drink. I don't really want to mess with him right now, but I guess my judgment is blurry at this moment.
"You said you're tired, yet you're still awake drinking wine." he said.
"yeah." I said.
"There's something bothering you, you know you can tell me." He said as he touch my face.
"Just shut up and kiss me." I told him. He did what I said.
His kissed goes down to my neck. Then he lifted me to the kitchen table.
"My husband and I never did it in the kitchen." I whispered to him. He lifts my night gown then removes my panties.
"I don't mind doing this on the kitchen." He said.
He pulls down his pyjamas to reveal his erection.
I moan as he gets in me. He covered my mouth then I covered his.
