Madison

I left him, without even talking about what just happened. This will be awkward I think.

I walked faster than my usual walk just to escape from him. Is that bad? I don't know how to handle things like this.

"Madison! Wait up!" I hear William speak.

I stopped, and turned around. He is running towards me.

"I'll be here for a week, if.... if...." he cannot finish what he is trying to say.

"if?" I asked.

"If you still have time, call me. I'd love to see more of Hartford, if you still have time..." he spoke.

"Sure, I'll let you know if I have time." I told him.

"Alright." he said with an uncomfortable smile.

"I'll be leaving now." I told him.

"See you soonest." William said.

I continued walking away from him.

---------------------------

I got back in Elmyra just in time.

"I'm so glad you're back." Jeremiah spoke.

"What happened?" I asked him.

"It's about Camilla, she filed another lawsuit against you. She came here and made a scene, I am really embarrassed about what she did" Jeremiah said.

"I'll talk to my lawyer about it." I told him.

"You seem calm about this." Jeremiah replied.

"It's not her first, she won't win against me. After all, it's her brother's decision to have me take over everything." I told him.

"That's true. And, how did your day go?" Jeremiah asked.

"Normal..." I lied.

"There's nothing normal when someone escaped from the office." Jeremiah said.

"I'll tell you about it one day." I told him.

"So it's not normal at all." Jeremiah spoke.

-----------------------------

When I got home, I saw all my children in the dining room already eating dinner.

"Mommy, you're late again." Alec spoke.

I kissed Artie, Alec, Alana and Mom.

"I'm sorry, darling. Mom's working so hard." I told Alec.

"I'll just wash up, and be here in a minute." I told them.

I still can't get it out of my head, William and I kissing. I should not be doing that, I should not be letting myself fall for a man who looks like my husband.

I changed my clothes, and went back to the dining room for dinner.

"How's school Artie?" I asked.

"It's fine, Mom" Artie replied.

"You sounded so sad about it, what's wrong sweetie?" I asked.

"Some of my classmates are talking about Dad and you. They say they hear it from their parents. I just wish Dad's here, it would have been easy." Artie said.

"Just ignore what they say Artie. You know the truth about everything. You don't have to listen to what they say. Just do your best in school, alright?" I told him.
