A/N: Welcome to the Month of Love Miniseries. These will be short one-shots (600-900 words or less) for each character. The posts will have either a wedding one-shot or a proposal one-shot with the character. The way I determined which would be which was using a random generator. The next posts will be the rest of the side characters and then we'll go to the brothers! Enjoy!!

Month of Love Mini-Series: Barbatos and Diavolo

Barbatos: I Do, Forever and Always

As Barbatos made his way to the end of the aisle, a soft orchestral melody played in the background, narrating his movements. Waiting at the simplistically decorated alter, Barbatos turned and eagerly looked towards the door. Before him, he saw all of their friends, Y/N's family, now his family, and a peacefully lit aisle where he would watch his partner walk down any moment.

The soft orchestral song slowly ended, and another beautiful melody rang through the ceremony room, alerting Barbatos to Y/N's impending arrival. Looking down the aisle, Barbatos locked eyes with his beloved. Smiling gently, he watched as they made their way to him, eagerness bounding through their steps. Arriving at the end of the aisle, Y/N keenly held onto Barbatos' hands. At this moment, no one else mattered to the couple. They stared lovingly into each other's eyes as everyone else around them took their seats and waited for the ceremony to proceed.

Standing by the couple was Diavolo. Barbatos had requested that the next King be their officiant, and since Y/N planned to become a Devildom denizen as well, they were more than happy to have Diavolo declare them married. The two lovebirds waited patiently as Diavolo went through the marital speech discussing the importance of a marriage and how both will always need to work to keep their relationship healthy. Both Barbatos and Y/N listened intently as they stared longingly at each other, eyes widening in adoration. After many minutes, it was finally time for the vows, and ring and marital mark exchange.

Both released their hold on each other to grab the other's simplistic gold banded rings and prepared to recite their handwritten vows. Turning back to each other, Diavolo asked Barbatos to recite his vows first, to which Barbatos happily obliged.

"My dearest Y/N. I have been fond of you since the moment I laid eyes on you. You are the best thing to have happened in my existence. I am so grateful for all the moments we have shared and all the moments we will share. Y/N, this I vow to you. No matter where life takes us or what we choose to do, I will always be right there with you. I vow to listen to you always, especially when you are talking about your favorite things and also in your most sad moments. I vow to love you for all of this eternity and every eternity. Y/N, this I vow most of all, to always be true and to always be yours."

With tears in their eyes, Y/N smiled from an overwhelming feeling of love. Taking a deep breath, they squeezed Barbatos' hand before sharing their vows in return. "Barbatos, you are the most special person I have ever met. You truly love me for all of the crazy things I am and I am so grateful that I can be my authentic self with you. Barbatos, I vow to always be there for you, in your triumphs and your heartaches. I vow to walk alongside you and help you however I can. I love you with all my heart and being and I can't wait to see what the next step is as our two individual paths are brought together to one."

At this point, there was not a dry eye in the room. The aura of love enveloped everyone as Diavolo prepared to declare the two officially married. "Y/N, do you take Barbatos to be your partner in this life and the next?" he asked, looking at the softly crying human.
