Soo-Jin
Both of them froze at the knocking sound. No, bad, bad timing! Soo-Jin didn't move, hoping that the unwanted visitor would just go away and they could resume doing whatever THIS was.
KNOCK KNOCK
This time the sound was louder, more insistent. "Soo-Jin?", called a familiar voice, the one of Mrs. Kim, her neighbor. Soo-Jin sighed and withdrew from Yong-Hoo's enclosure.
"Hold that thought", she whispered and rushed to the door. She opened it and hoped that she did not look too ruffled up and that her face was not as bright red as it was feeling. "Good evening, Mrs. Kim."
The elder lady only had to take one look at her to know what was going on. "Hello dear, I hope I'm not interrupting you."
Soo-Jin's face became even more red, if that was even possible at this point. "Not at all."
Mrs. Kim's eyes curiously passed Soo-Jin to the exposed part of the apartment, then quickly wandered back to her. "I heard strange noises and thought something bad might have happened. I was worried, so I came to check if you were alright."
Soo-Jin coughed awkwardly. "I really appreciate your concern. We-", she hastily corrected herself to not fuel up Mrs. Kim's nosiness, "-I was just singing. You know how horrible I am... I am sorry to have bothered you."
The neighbor gave her a meaningful, knowing smile. "Alright, I'm just glad to see that you are well and... enjoying yourself." Soo-Jin wished the ground would open up and swallow her this instant. Mrs. Kim turned to leave but then seemed to have remembered something. "By the way, I have gotten some of your mail again. You can come and pick it up tomorrow morning. We could have some tea and a nice chat. How about that?"
"A-alright, sure. Thank you." An exhale left her lips as soon as she had closed the door. She closed her eyes and had to take a deep breath before turning back around. "Sorry, I-" She was interrupted by nearly bumping into Yong-Hoo, who had appeared right next to her. She had not even noticed him, how long had he been standing there?
"You should check the spyhole before opening the door." He was so close that she could feel the vibration of his voice.
"I knew who it was, so there was no point in that..."
"And you should get a door latch, just to be safe", he went on. "These doors are easier to kick down than you might think."
Soo-Jin shook her head to get rid of the - aggressively sexy - image of him kicking down her door. But she couldn't think straight with him being so close. His scent was infatuating. "Sure, okay."
The little hairs on the back of her neck stood up when he snickered. "Did you just really agree with me? No backtalk?"
She didn't answer and looked up to him. Her body felt als if it was burning up and it was a mystery to her how he could still wear his leather jacket. She noticed something in his gaze change and then he smiled down to her soflty. "You should rest."
When the meaning of his words had finally gone through to her she pouted and crossed her arms. Resting was the last thing she wanted to do right now! His rejection was softened by his cold hands that gently cupped her cheeks. "You're literally burning up." The contrast of their body temperature gave her shivers and he left a cold trail where his hand wandered to her forehead. "Drink some water and lay down. If you need something, call me. Alright?"
Soo-Jin nodded but he did not let go of her. He searched for her eyes. "Promise?"
"Yes."
He stood there for a second, just looking at her. Then he left, leaving Soo-Jin feeling like a melt down ice-cream.
