Soo-Jin
After a pretty much sleepless night, she knew that there was no way for her to forget what had happened and so she decided to follow the white rabbit down the hole. Park Yong-Hoo owed her some answers and a god-damn thank you for saving his life! Since she was free for the day she decided to pay a visit to the church where he had brought his friend from the hospital. Maybe that priest could give her some sort of information.
Hesitating, she stopped in front of the wooden church doors and a banner next to her caught her attention. God will save you, it wrote in capital letters, which made her let out a dry laugh.
„I don't think so" she answered, pushing the door open and entering the church. The inside was dark, only lit by candles that drew red dancing shadows onto the plain stone walls. It was quiet and there seemed to be no one except for her.
She quietly walked along the empty benches towards the altar at the other end of the hall. Above her hung crossed Jesus, looking down at her as if asking for help. I have got my own problems, she rejected him silently, rolling her eyes at him.
„May I help you?"
"Holy shit!" She jumped at the male voice next to her. Then, realizing her inappropriate choice of words, bowed apologetically. "Sorry."
"I didn't mean to startle you, I'm sorry."
Soo-Jin mustered the priest with the gentle voice. His face was bruised and cut and although no big white bandage covered his head, it undoubtedly was Yong-Hoos companion from the hospital.
"Maybe you can help me. I'm looking for Park Yong-Hoo."
"Park Yong-Hoo?" He swiftly looked away. "I don't think I know anybody by that name, is he a member of this church?"
Soo-Jin raised her eyebrows. So priests were allowed to lie now? Wow. "Park Yong-Hoo", she repeated dryly, "tall, handsome, leather jacket, hands on fire..."
"Sh!" He looked around wide eyed, checking if someone had heard her, but the church was still empty.
"I take it you do know who I'm talking about then."
