Chapter 12

"What'd you want to talk to me about Todoroki?" I ask

He had led me to a hallway, and now we're both leaning on the walls opposite each other to talk face to face.

I heard Katsuki on the way here bet 20 bucks that Todoroki's gonna ask me out.
I doubt it, that 20 bucks is mine

"Your quirk" He says 
"Oh?" I question

I will admit our quirks are similar only difference-aside from our looks-is that he has ice and I have telekinesis.

"You haven't been using your fire, for both of the challenges you've only used your telekinesis"
"And?" I ask, this is coming from the guy that as far as I know has never used his fire in class.

"It was just something I noticed" 
"I'm gonna be honest here man, okay?" I say 

He stares at me for a second then slowly nods

"Todoroki, if anything I should be the one asking you why you never use your fire, but that's none of my business." I say crossing my arms
"I guess" He replies slowly.
"Unless your asking because your concerned or something, don't be. I just can't use it right now" I shrug
"Why?"
"What's with all the questions all of a sudden? This is literally the longest I've ever heard you talk"
"Who's your dad?"
"Excuse me?"

What the f*ck is going on right now?
He stares at me waiting for a response

"I don't have one" I say bluntly
No response 
"Exactly, can I leave now?" I ask
"One last question"
"Better be quick"
"What do you think of Endeavor?"
"He's your dad right?" 

I know Enji's his dad, but he could've just said that 'What do you think of my Dad?' and not 'What do you think of Endeavor?' Enji being his Dad is something the whole f*cking school knows, its no secret. 

He glares at me "Yeah"
This is getting ridiculous
"I've fought him for no reason on multiple occasions. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of the guy."
"Are you his secret love child or something?" He asks
"I can't tell you how bad I wanna slap you right now" I say
"You guys have so many similarities I was just wondering-"
"I'ma stop you right there Candy-cane, I think I'd know if Enji was my dad" I say interrupting him
"I'm just saying that the possibility is there-"
"At this point you're just insulting me"

He looks at me blankly

"Look, I've seen pictures of my dad, he looks nothing like Enji so you can forget about that crazy idea right now. Where's all this coming from?"
"I just think you have some connection with him, and if you do that gives me all the more reason to beat you"
"Dude, your dad is literally the one guy I asked Nezu to keep away from me" I say

"Do you know what quirk marriage is?" He asks
"Quirk marriage? Yeah I've heard of it "
"My parents where put into a quirk marriage to create a combination of both of their quirks, my siblings are seen as failures to my father, not me though. I'm his 'masterpiece', the one who can do what he can't, surpass All might"

Enji can't handle being second place, so he forces his kids to do what he can't?

"My father is scum, I haven't seen my mother in years because of him" He says bringing his hand up to touch the scar on his face 
"My mother gave me this scar, by pouring boiling water on my face. I refuse to be his tool, I'm gonna show him that I can win without using his disgusting fire. I'll win with only using my ice" He says
"Your setting yourself up for failure" I say without thinking
"What?"  He asks, shooting me a glare that could make All might pee his pants
"You can't win with just your Ice"
"And you can't win with just your telekinesis"

I can, but I think If I tell him that he'll lose it

"I'm not using my fire to spite my father, I'm not using cause I can't" I repeat

He shakes his head and starts to walk away
"I'll win with only my ice, I can't lose this"
"Neither can I" I say turning around and walking away.

"You can come out now" I say
"So, I was wrong"
"Big time" I say, walking past Katsuki
"Are you going to do anything?" He asks catching up to me
"Like what?"
"Confront Endeavor"

A gruff voice speaks out "What about me?"

We turn around and see the one and only a**hole Endeavor

"Oh nothing, just talking about how you mistreat your kids and sent your wife away" I reply
"Excuse me?" He growls walking over to us "Repeat that again punk!"

"You're son isn't you and I'm not All might" I say
"Ha! I know that!" Endeavor laughs 
"So stop treating him like he is Enji"
"What did you call me?"
"Aw don't tell me you don't recognize me Enji" I say tilting my head with a smirk

He stares at me for a minute before the realization hits him 
"How'd you get in here you d*mn villian! "He yells
"Once again not a villian, I was asked to attend UA"
"More like forced" Katsuki mumbles
"Shut up Katsuki"
"Why would they let you in?" Endeavor laughs "Did take pity on you or something?" He asks

"Who knows when it comes to hero's now a days" I say turning around "See you around Endeavor"

"You know your probably gonna end up going against Half-n-Half in the next round" Katsuki comments
"Most likely"
"What are you gonna do?"
"Wing it"
"Why do I even bother with you" He mumbles We walk back out into the arena

"Alight! Congrats to everyone that has made it this far! And now for the next event... THE BATTLE TOURNEMENT!!! And now for the pairing match ups-"

"Excuse me Miss Midnight?" Someone interrupts
"Yes?"
"I'd like to withdraw from the tournament"

The arena goes silent and all eyes turn to Ojiro, the guy throwing away his chance at winning and future reputation. 

"No, unless you have a good reason" Midnight says
"I feel like I cheated. I don't remember anything from the cavalry battle and I believe it's because one of the members of my group was manipulating me with his quirk. I feel that if I were to continue , it wouldn't be fair to the others. So please let me withdraw"

Midnight thinks abut it for a moment then nods "Permission to withdraw granted, you may leave"
"Thank you" Ojiro says leaving the 

"As I was saying-"
"I'd like to withdraw to" Another kid confesses

Why don't we all just withdraw now?

"Now that that's taken care of, on to the parings!"

A hologram appears with a list of pairings

Midoriya Izuku vs Shinsou Hitoshi

Shinsou Hitoshi? Must be someone from another class

"Hey, do you know who Uraraka is?" Katsuki asks next to me
"Are you serious?"
"Yes!"
"Wow" I say pointing to Uraraka who's staring at Katsuki in shock 

"First up is, MIDORIYA IZUKU VS SHINSOU HITOSHI!!! We will begin in a few minutes!!"

I still don't know who this Shinsou person is

"Pst! Midoriya over here!"
I turn and see Ojiro

"Yeah?"
"I wanna talk to you for a sec"
"As long as you don't tell me your life story"
"What?" He asks, giving me a confused look
"I've had a weird day" I shrug
