Chapter 20

Deku Pov:

"F*ck" I mumble as I get out of bed

One of those a**holes from last night managed to get a few good hits one me. Specifically on my left shoulder and right leg.
My leg is the thing that's bugging me right now, when I put pressure on it pain flares through my body.

The guy that hurt me had a quirk that made it so he could turn any part of his body into a spike. When I was fighting him he turned his hand into a spike and stabbed my leg.
In return I burned his eyebrows off.

He's gonna have a sh*tty mug shot.

My arm was my own mistake I guess. Before I fought no-eyebrows-man I saved a kid from walking into oncoming traffic, while doing so I pulled a mussel. It didn't bother me till I was fighting another guy and did a back flip with my hands and messed it up.

Ah well, other then those small set backs I'd say last night went well. I turned a few villains into the police and saved a kid from dying, I'd say that's a pretty successful night.

But what sucks is that todays is a school day, wait no, today is the internships.

Nah that still sucks.

I change into my school uniform and head downstairs.

"What's with the limp Izuku?"

Sh*t

You see, my mom is fine with me doing vigilantly work and all. But as soon as I get so much as a scratch that she can see she'll try to rush me to the hospital and ban me from going out.

"Just pulled something I think, it's fine" I lie, grabbing my bag.
"And what about that shoulder?"

How the heck does she know?

"Slept on it wrong"

Look at me go, lying to my mother without hesitation.

"If you say so. Today is the start of your internship right? Make sure to have everything you need"
"I think I've got it all" I say showing her my duffel bag.

She walks towards me and kisses me in the cheek "See you when you get back" she says

I hug her quick "See you" I say heading to the door.

Man, it's raining today.
I don't bother going back in the grab and umbrella and use my telekinesis to keep the rain drops from hitting me.

Instead of taking the train to school I run. Ever since the sports festival random strangers have been talking to me and it's starting to get on my nerves. It was nice at first I guess, people would congratulate me and tell me I did good and what not. But now it's just annoying.

I get to UA and walk inside, I find Iida hanging up his jacket. I hadn't talked to him since he left the sports festival but I figured out why he had to go. His older brother, also known as Ingenium was attacked by the hero killer Stain and ended up in the hospital with serious injuries.

I walk over to him
"Hey Prez" I say
He turns around quick "Oh, hey Midoriya" he says
"You doing alright?" I ask
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"I heard about your brother, I'm sorry Prez"
"There's no need to apologize Midoriya, you had nothing to do with it."
"How is he?" I ask genuinely curious
"He- he's good. Nothing to worry about"

He turns to walk away but I grab his shoulder
"Prez, revenge is never the answer"

He doesn't look at me

"Don't think I didn't see who you picked to intern with. I'm not stupid Prez."

Still no response

"Don't be an idiot Prez. I understand that you want to avenge your brother. But face it, there's nothing you can do"
