Midoriya

"Has anyone seen Kota?" Mandalay calls out as she looks around.
After another day of training we were told we had to make our own food instead of it being made for us, the class is too busy arguing over how to start a fire to hear Mandalay's concern over the kid that's gone missing.

"I can look for him Mandalay" I say walking over to her
"Oh! Thank you Midoriya, if you don't mind fetching him that would be great" She says smiling

I nod and she points me in the direction of one of the mountains
"He likes to hide up there to get alone time, I usually let him be but it's starting to get late and he hasn't eaten yet"
I nod again and start heading in the direction she pointed.

Based on what I've seen, Kota doesn't like the class. He glares at everyone, talks under his breath all the time, and just flat out isn't interested in any talk about quirks or heroes.
Honestly for a kid his age I do find his lack of interest a bit strange, the more I thought about it the more I slowly started making connections.

Mandalay or Sosaki is related to the pro hero duo the Water Hose heroes who both died protecting citizens from an A-rank villian. I remember hearing about their deaths a few years ago and that it was mentioned in one of the news coverings that they had a kid. They never gave out details on him other than he was safe and with other family.

I could be wrong about Kota's parents being the Water Hose heroes but I doubt it, it would explain a lot about his attitude towards the class and Mandalay. The Water Hose heroes got praise for their bravery and selflessness even if it ended up killing them.

I start walking up the mountain when I notice small footsteps,  I follow them till they stop at a flat point on the mountain and there stands Kota looking down at the camp.

"Geez, I don't know how you and your tiny legs where able to get up here so fast but it's impressive" I say
He jumps up and glares at me "How'd you find me?"
"I just followed some footsteps I saw" I shrug leaving out the part where Mandalay told me where to go.
"Whatever, go away" He replies
"It's a bit late to be way out here you know" I say ignoring him
"Go away! It's bad enough you and those wanna be heroes are here and now you're getting all nosey" He shouts
"Mandalay want's you to go down to the camp for dinner"

He continues to glare at me as I stand a few feet away from him.

"The Water Hose heroes" I say.
His eyes widen before he scowls "Mandalay told you didn't she!"
"Mandalay didn't tell me sh*t, but I'm assuming they're your parents" I say
"Shut up" he snaps turning back to looking at the camp

"If you have nothing else to say then go away!" He repeats
I sigh "If you get hungry they're making curry down at the camp"

I turn and start to walk away

"I hate you, you and your stupid quirk. all those wanna be heroes down there training for a stupid dream. Hero, Villian, who cares? You're all just going to end up killing each other anyway and it's degusting" Kota calls out

I stop walking and face him
"You know something kid? You're right. And it's sad that a kid your age has figured out how f*cked up this world is but you're just going to have to accept it. With the power our society has there are bound to be villain's and bad people, but with that there are also people who will put their life on the line to try and stop it. I know losing your parents was unfair, and you have every right to be upset with the world. But you're just going to end up hurting yourself more with this isolation you have going on."

Kota doesn't say anything and just looks down
"I better hear that you came back at a decent hour" I say turning to head back to the camp
