The one and only: Deku

Chapter 25

Deku POV:

"Thanks for everything Old man" I say

I stayed with Gran Torino for the last few days of my internship. We didn't do that much but it was better than the hospital.

"I don't think I did anything you need to thank me over" he replies
I think about it for a minute " Yeah your right, it was mostly me"

He glares at me "Don't test me kid."
I laugh "See yah" I turn around and start walking away
"Hey kid" Torino says
I glance back toward him
"How are you?" He asks in his old man voice
I give him an annoyed look "This again? Midoriya Izuku-"
"No"
"No? What do you mean no? That's my name!"
"No it's not, I would remember it if it was" he says
"Midoriya Izuku" I repeat
"Incorrect"

I stare at him then sigh "Deku"
He smiles then walks back into the beat up building

"Old people and their stupid good byes" I mumble walking away

I pull out my phone and watch the latest news report

"Vigilante Deku has done it again! Just a few nights ago the brave hero took out the Hero Killer: Stain along with saving 2 hero's in training and Pro Hero: Native. We haven't been able to get Deku for any commentary on what happened as usual but we can say that if your watching Deku, Thank you!"

I turn off my phone and smile
"The brave hero"

Please, I was scared sh*tless.

The next day:

"HAHA! Your hair!" Kirishima and Sero laugh
"Stop laughing! My hair's gotten used to it and won't go back! Shut up! I'll k!ll you!" Katsuki yells
"I'd like to see you try, with that sh*tty hair" I laugh
"WHAT'D YOU SAY!!!" Katsuki screams. His hair poofs back to its original state
"It's back!" Kirishima and Sero howl with laughter

The others talk about their internships while Katsuki grabs the collar of my shirt and tries attacking me

"Speaking of interesting internships, is it true what they're saying on the news Midoriya?" Denki asks
The class quiets down and stares at me
"What's he talking about Deku?" Katsuki asks
"The hero killer! You fought him right?!" Denki continues
"Yeah" I say

"I was worried" Momo says
"Why?" I ask
"You never answered the any body's texts" she says
"Oh yeah, I was kind of hoping you guys would forget if I didn't answer" I admit
"It's all over the news Midoriya there's no way we'd forget" Sato says
"That's amazing that you did the Midoriya!" Hagakure says

"Who we're the two hero's in training you saved?" Kirishima asks

I glance at Todoroki and Iida
"You two? Really?" Kirishima says in disbelief

They both nod slightly

"I also saw on the news that Stain was connected to the LOV right? Imagine if he was at the USJ." Ojiro shudders
"Yeah but did you guys see that video on Stain! It's tells you about how single minded he is and stuff. It almost makes him kinda cool" Kaminari says

I stare at him
"Cool?" I repeat
"Oh crap! Sorry" Kaminari says covering his mouth
"I understand how people could think he's cool" Prez says breaking the awkward silence

"Oh yeah Prez?" I ask
"I suppose, but he still chose to do bad thing as a result of what he believed. No matter what he thought, the part of hurting people is still wrong" he says

"Now, it is time to commence class! Everyone take your seats!" Prez yells
"I almost forgot how serious you take being class president" I mumble

"And he's back to being loud" Tokoyami complains
"This is all because you talked about weird stuff Kaminari" Jiiro whispers
"Sorry" Kaminari reply's

Latter in the day:
"I am here!" All might yells

He actually teaches here?

"Long time no see everyone! Today is basic hero training! We're gonna have a fun rescue training race!" He yells

...fun?

"Shouldn't we go to the USJ if we're doing rescue?" Prez asks shooting his hand in the air

"Thats training for disasters! Besides, this is a race!"All might says enthusiastically

Behind him is a huge pipe obstacle course.
This school is really trying to k!ll us

"Welcome to Field Gamma! A obstacle course filled with factories and pipes to make a labyrinth! We'll break you up into four groups of five people and have you race one another to find the area where the distress signal is coming from! You'll all start for the outskirts of the city. Fist to find me, wins!" All might explains

"Please keep damage to a minimum" he adds pointing at Katsuki
"Don't point at me" Katsuki mumbles

He's to scared to talk trash in front of his hero.
Haha Wimp

I'm part of the group of people going first. All might lets us into the maze of doom and gives us each a spot to start. The people I'm going against are, Ojiro, Prez, Sero, and Mina.

Sero is probably the only real threat here seeing as Prez is still injured and Mina and Ojiro's quirks aren't exactly suited for this kind of stuff.

I don't wanna be cocky or anything but, I'm winning this.

Bakugou POV:

"Shouldn't Iida be sitting out? He's injured isn't he?" One of the Extra's comments

The screen shows the faces of the people in the maze. Izuku has a cocky grin on his face.

"Midoriya is kind of at a disadvantage don't you think?" Momo says 

I look at her weird, Deku? Having a disadvantage? Please. This is nothing for that b*stard

"Maybe, but i'm not really sure how it'll go" Earphones adds
"Who do you think will win? I think It'll be Sero!" Sh*tty Hair asks
"I'm gonna have to go with Ojiro" Denki admits
"I think Ashido. She's really athletic" Grape says
"I got my money on Deku" I admit
"Even if he's injured, I think Iida's go this" Uraraka says

"START!" All Might yells and a horn goes off.

From the screen we watch the group, Sero's in the lead so far, Mina is sliding on the pipes,  Ojiro is jumping from his tail, Iida's running decently for a guy who just got stabbed, and Deku is no where to be seen on the screen

The camera shows Sero again with the 1st place title by him.

"I knew it! Sero's gonna win" Sh*tty hair yells

In a flash of a second the 1st place tittle by Sero's picture turns into 2nd and the horn goes off.

"Huh? What happened?" Denki asks confused

The screen changes to where All Might was hiding, Deku standing next to him with that cocky grin still plastered on his face.

"The winner is Midoriya!" All Might yells
I smirk at the class "Told Ya."

This is just a nice short chapter. More from Bakugou's point of view, I'm trying to do more than just Midoriya as I am also trying to do it like the manga/anime. I don't want it to just be Midoriya the whole time cause it'll just get boring for both you and me. I hope your enjoying the story still and look forward to the next chapter!
