"What was that you were saying Todoroki? You want me to use my fire? Fine"

"Deku! what are you-" I start, as Deku shoves his hands out in front of him and burst into flames melting the glacier Icy-hot sent his way.

What happened to the 'I'm not gonna use my fire crap?!

I give him a annoyed look "I want to beat you at your best not when your half-a**ing it"
"Kachan I'm not half-a**ing it" Deku sighs
I glare at the floor

"I wasn't even going to use my fire quirk for when we, most likely fight" he says with another sigh
"Huh? Why?" I asked shocked
He shrugs "I see no reason to use fire vs fire, It's pointless"

It's not pointless, especially since I use explosions not fire but he's not gonna drop it till I agree. I nod my head slowly
He lays back on my bed

"Still sucks though" he mumbles
"Yeah..."
Yeah it really sucks cause If I beat him at the sports festival it will only be because he isn't at his best.

And that's not fair to him.

And to think I actually had sympathy toward that a**hole. He never told me he could do more than breath fire.

Why wouldn't he tell me that?
Does he not trust me or something?

No, that's not it.
But Im still p*ssed about whatever it is.
I scowl as I continue to watch the fight.

"Hey Bakubro!"
"What" I say, not bothering to see who's talking to me
"I gotta question for ya"
I glance over and see sh*tty hair sitting next to me
"If Midoriya is such a powerful vigilante, how come he's having trouble beating Todoroki?"

I roll my eyes "That's your question?"
"Yeah, and same thing with the fight against the purple haired kid, in the videos I saw of deku he took villains out in a matter of seconds"

I look around and see a few other extras  staring at me. I sigh in annoyance "Simple fighting villains and fighting us are two completely different things"
"How?" Pikachu asks
"We're not a threat to him or those around him, it's different when he fights villains cause they can and have hurt people. We on the other hand are a bunch of teenagers who have probably never even seen a real fight let alone be in one"
"That...makes sense" an extra says
"Plus, he doesn't wanna hurt you guys and whether he knows it or not is subconsciously holding back" I say glaring at the floor
Sh*tty hair puts a hand on my shoulder "that was manly bro" he says wiping away a fake tear
"F*ck off" I say shooing his hand away

"And the winner is MIDORIYA IZUKU!!!!"

No surprise there, icy-hot never stood a chance.
A few minutes latter Deku comes up to the bleachers, i glare at him and get up. I'm not in the mood for his excuses. He can explain everything after I beat his a**

I wander around for a bit before I hear:
"Due to some issues Iida Tenya has dropped out, Tokoyami Fumikagi wins by default"
"Huh?" I say out loud

"Next up Midoriya Izuku vs Bakugou Katsuki!"

I know y'all probably wanted midoriya and bakugou to fight but I wanted to write things in Bakugo's point of view for a second just to change things up. The memory was also in his point of view in case any of you where confused. Hope your still enjoying the story!
