"Hwa Young-ah! You've been staring at the same clothes rack for the past twenty minutes. Hurry up and pick something!" I whine.

"Fine!" she grumbles. She looks me up down. "Of course you would say that. You have no fashion sense."

I look down at what I'm wearing. I look fine.

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?"

Hwa Young sighs. "Nothing. Wait here, I'm going to see how I look in this. Hold my bag."

As she changes I look around the store. I pick up a small stuffed bear among a rack full of them. I pick a different one and examine them next to each other. Hwa Young comes out and does a little twirl.

"How do I look?" she asks.

"Wow, you look great." I say, meaning it. Then I show her the bears and ask in a serious tone, "Which one should I buy?"

She carefully looks at them both, thinks for a moment before deciding. She points at the one in left hand. The first one I chose.

"As usual, great minds think alike." I say and place the other one back. "Blubi, today you come home with me."

"You already named him? That was quick."

I nod. "Of course. Just one look at him and I knew we were destined to be. How could I not already have a name for him?"

Hwa Young shakes her head. "You're such a weirdo."

We go to the cash register and pay for our things. We walk around the underground mall for a little while more, buying small things here and there. My stomach growls loudly and then so does Hwa Young's. We laugh.

"Let's go buy something to eat." she offers.

I nod my head. We leave the mall and go to a convenience store for some ramyeon. We sit at the counter by the window. I hold the chopsticks in my hand and patiently wait for the noodles to cook while Hwa Young next to me looks like she'll go crazy if she doesn't eat now. Soon the noodles are done cooking and we happily eat them.

Hwa Young's phone rings. She pulls it out of her bag.

"Yes, mom?" she answers. "Okay, I'll be there soon." she turns to back to me. "Sorry, Eun Kyung-ah. I have to go."

I nod. "Okay. You go ahead then. I want to look around the shops some more."

"Okay. See you later." She waves goodbye and leaves.

I finish the rest of my noodles quietly. I throw away the plastic container and decide to just go home.

"Miss," the store owner stops me, "Your shoes are coming untied."

"Oh, thank you for telling me." I politely bow to him and walk out.

I decide to just ignore it. I'll be fine, it's just a shoelace. It's still bright out but the college students are already beginning to crowd the streets. I stop by a food stand to bring something home for the family.

"Excuse me, can I have a bowl of deokkbeoki, please?" I ask the street vendor.

"Right away."

The woman hands me a small bag with the food in it.

"Thank you. Continue working hard." I thank her.

Not only were the streets already crowded with college kids, but lots of vendors too. I completely forgot Dano was coming up.

"Would you like to buy a fan?"

I look at the middle aged lady selling fans. Just as I'm about to say no, I change my mind.
