From Me to You ☆ Jung Kook

Chapter Ten

I gulp nervously as I look up at the huge roller coaster towering over me. I can clearly hear the piercing screams of the riders.

"Uh, m-maybe we should go on another ride. Like that one!" I offer and point at a merry-go-round with little kids on it.

Rap Monster chuckles. "Are you scared?"

"N-No. I'm just saying b-because... JHope! JHope oppa looks really scared. And Ji Min oppa as well. I'm just taking them into consideration." I reply with a forced smile.

Suga squeezes my shoulder, "You can just ride with one of us. We'll protect you."

I nod, feeling reassured.

"You can be my partner." V says with a cheeky smile.

"O-Okay." I agree.

Jin and Jung Kook both pout. I try to hide my giggle. They both look so cute. V looks down at me with another smile before grabbing my hand and running to the line. The amusement park was fairly empty considering it was a Tuesday morning. Quickly, it's already our turn. My heart begins to beat faster as my impending doom comes closer. I grip V's hand tightly as we begin to slowly move.

"When I say three, lift your hands up." He says.

I stare at him as if he's grown a second head. "What?"

"Ready," He begins and I shake my head. "One, two, three!"

I scream as we are suddenly plummeting down. Yet somehow my arms do end up in the air. Tears begin to prick at my eyes as I scream my lungs out. And just like that it's over. My head is still spinning and I stumble out of the compartment. Someone's arms go around mine and steady my balance.

"You okay?" That familiar voice says.

I look up to see Jung Kook's face just above mine. I nod as I feel hear rising up my face. Where did he come from?

"How about one more time?" Rap Mon suggests.

I don't know whether he's joking or not. But I immediately blurt out a no. They all laugh. I blush like an idiot and pout. I regret coming here. I've embarrassed myself all day.

One of the PDs hand Rap Mon another mission card. I sigh in relief. He smiles evilly and looks slowly at all of us.

"I have the results of the poll here in my hands." He begins. "This was chosen by all of the crew and our managers."

The boys begin to ooh and aww. Suddenly I become nervous. I wish I had an invisibility cloak right now.

"Last place is... JHope." He announces.

JHope's face falls. He begins to playfully throw a tantrum. Ji Min smiles to himself and Jin smirks. The rest of us patiently - and nervously - wait for the rest of the results.

Rap Monster clears his throat. "And first place goes to the one and only... Golden Maknae!"

I smile at that. It was no surprise really.

"I got second right?" Jin probes.

"The rest doesn't matter." Rap Monster replies coolly.

Jin sticks out his tongue. I giggle. Despite my initial fear, the ride wasn't so bad. And I was having more fun than I had expected.

"Alright, who will you choose as your partner?" Rap Mon asks.

Jung Kook looks around at all of us. Suddenly his eyes land on me. I gulp. He couldn't be choosing me, could he?
