"Give me that. What kind of dumpling is this?"

I laugh. "Um, an Eun Kyung dumpling?"

Eomma rolls her eyes. "You're so silly. You see this? This is how you're supposed to make a dumpling."

She holds up the newly folded dumpling and sets it down on the tray.

"Aigoo. What are we going to do with you?"

"Ay, eomma~" I cling onto her arm like a child and she laughs.

"You're birthday is in a few weeks. You haven't told me what you want yet."

What once felt like a happy occasion wad now a solemn day.

"I don't think I want anything this year. Being with you guys is all I need."

She snorts. "Yes, us and a particular group of seven boys."

I gasp. "Eomma!"

"You care about them, they're your friends. Although I would like it of your friends consisted of more females that weren't famous. But I'm glad to see you smiling more again.

"For a while after the accident, a lot of things changed. The one thing I missed the most was seeing you smile. I admit, I wasn't too fond of you becoming friends with those boys, but if they make my little girl smile, I guess they're alright. Ever since you started hanging out again you've been much happier. You should invite them over to dinner sometime. I don't where we'll all sit but we can make it work."

"Wow. Eomma, I wasn't expecting to hear thay. Especially since before you were do apposed to me you know...dating Jung Kook and all that."

Her eyes widened. "Eun Kyung, how do you know that? Are you finally remembering?"

She grabbed my hands and looked at me hopefully.

"I-I don't know. It just slipped out of my mouth without me realizing. And before, it happened too."

She squealed. "We should go to the hospital for a check up. I'll call right now so you can go get changed."

"Eomma, but... what if I'm not actually remembering and all I'm saying is just nonsense? I don't want to go only to be told it's not getting better."

Her eyes softened. "Oh, sweetie. Don't think like that. Everything is going to work out. And if it doesn't, then you can just make new memories. And we'll always love you regardless."

"What year is it?"

"2017."

"Where were you at the day of the accident?"

"At a restaurant." I replied.

"Who were you with?"

"Um, my mom and...my dad."

"Have you ever had a boyfriend?"

"I think so. I mean, it feels like I have. Sorry, it's still a little hazy."

"What is your mother's name?"

Something pulled at my chest. What kind of question was that? Of course I knew my mother's name. It was Park Eun Ha...

I looked at my hands. They shook a little. It felt like something had pricked me.

"...Park Eun Seol. My mother's name, is Park Eun Seol."

As the words left my mouth I was so sure of it. Like I already knew who she was.
I glanced at eomma before returning my attention to the doctor. She exhaled loudly.
