I felt nervous. Excited even. As I reached the crowded streets my eyes searched for Jung Kook. He said he'd be here.
"Ahgassi, would you like to try on one of our caps?"
I turn around to the man behind the stall. He was selling hats. They were all neatly displayed on racks. Surprisingly one caught my eye.
"How much is this one?" I ask, picking it up.
"8,000 won. But I'll bump it down to 5."
I look at the vendor. He looked oddly familiar. And much younger than any of the other people selling food and other items. Despite his familiarity, I couldn't put my finger on it.
I shake my head. I was being weird.
"Ok, I'll buy it." I say.
He smiles. "Ah, thank you."
I pay him and continue to walk away. But I hear something strange.
"Stage 1 complete. Hyung, she's headed towards the fountain.
I stop and frown. I turn around to look back at the stand only to see the young man was now replaced by an older one. I look around suspiciously but the guy from before was nowhere to be seen.
I sigh. I'm probably just tired. I move on and forget the weird incident. As I walked, I noticed a large crowd of squealing girls
A sudden wave of deja vu hits me. This seems oddly familiar.
I want to know what's going on but I don't want to get caught up in that mess. As I continue to walk I feel a sudden tug at my foot. I look down surprised.
"Ah, mianhe. I didn't mean to step on you."
I look at the person. Half of his face was covered with a mask but he too looked familiar.
"I-It's fine."
He walks away. What is wrong with me. Why do all these people look so familiar? The crowd begins to scream louder.
"Oppa!"
"Look over here!"
"I love you!"
It must be an idol. I shake my head. They're people too. Even if you're a fan you shouldn't make such a big fuss. They like their privacy just as much as you do.
As walk forward, I trip. I begin to fall when someone places their arms on my sides, keeping me upright.
"Didn't I tell you before? You're always letting your shoelaces come untied."
My eyes widen as I stare at Jung Kook. He bends down on one knee. My heart beats faster. Carefully, he begins to tie my shoes. He double knots it. He smiles up at me and my cheeks flush.
"J-Jung Kook."
"You're not going to thank me?" He teases.
"Huh...oh! G-Gomawo."
Jung Kook grins, stands up, and ruffles my hair.
Suddenly, an unfamiliar scene flashes before my eyes. It was me... and Jung Kook. He had ruffled my hair just like he had done now. Excitedly, I grab his hands.
"I just remembered something!"
His eyes brighten. "What is it?"
"It looks like we were at a jjimjilbang and you ruffles my hair. Just like now."
Jung Kook grins widely. "Oh, you did remember. We went with the members to cheer you up."
I suddenly become aware of all the attention focused on us. I let go of his hands and take a step backwards.
