"What do I mean to you? No one knows that but you. Eun Kyung, what did you call me out for?"

I loosen myself from his embrace and stand directly in front of him. I stare at him.

"I'm trying to find answers. What happened in that year that no one wants to tell me? What was so painful that my brain decided to delete it? But most of all, who are you? The memories you had with me, I'm not aware of any of that. I don't know you. You could say I came to reject you, but I need you. You're the only one who can help me find what I need."

"What makes you so sure I can tell you what you want to know?" Jung Kook asks after a while.

I smile. "You told me you love me."

"What is it exactly you want to know?"

"Everything I forgot. If I'm with you, maybe I'll remember." I say.

"So you're using me." Jung Kook states.

I frown. "Putting it that way makes it sound bad. Let's call it treasure hunting. I'm looking for something in this world that's priceless and irreplaceable and you're helping me."

"And what do I get in return?" He asks.

"Do your fans know you're like this?"

He chuckles and I stare at him oddly.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing. You just said something like that before. It was just a silly memory."

"Oh." I mumble. "It must be nice. To remember the small things and have it bring a smile to your face. I may seem like I'm doing fine, but I'm not. It sucks. Waking up only to find out everything is different from what you last remember. It really sucks."

He coughs, attempting to clear the air. "If I help you, I want a date in return."

"W-What?" I stutter, surprised.

"You heard me. A date, you and me."

"That's all? Just a date?" I ask.

Jung Kook nods.

I shrug. "Well, if that's all then okay. But don't try to pull anything funny."

"What do you take me for, a pervert?"

"Like I said before, I don't know you."

He shakes his head and the tips of his ears redden.

"W-Well, if you're trying to regain your memories, maybe recreating them will help." Jung Kook says, quickly trying to change topic.

"Ah, I've heard of that. I knew you would be perfect for this. So, what do you have in mind?" I say with a smile.

"It should be something that held a lot of meaning or that made you feel very emotional."

"Like what?" I ask.

He thinks for a moment. "Our first kiss."

Immediately after saying it we both look away, our cheeks tinged red. I tap my fingers on my lap trying to find a distraction from this awkward atmosphere. I knew we had dated, courtesy of a few online articles and Jin, but we kissed? Isn't that too fast. After all, I was only sixteen at the time. When did I become like this?

"M-Maybe we should choose something else for now." I say.

He nods. "Yeah. I wasn't thinking. It just slipped out. Let's pretend I didn't say it."

"Okay, yeah, so what do you have in mind?"

"Ah, I know! When we first met." Jung Kook says excitedly.

"When we first met?"

He nods. "I'll have to make preparations. Go."

I frown. "What?"

"Give me an hour. No, an hour and a half. I'll call you so make sure to come."

I find myself nodding. What else am I supposed to do? Jung Kook takes me to the nearest bus stop.

"You should get something to eat in the meantime. You're still growing so it's important that you eat all your meals. Here's some money."

I stare at him agape as he hands me a wad of money.

"I-I can't just accept your money. Take it back, here."

"Oh look, that's the bus over there."

As the large vehicle comes to a stop he pushes me forward. I climb up the steps and take a seat. I stare out the window where I see Jung Kook waving at me with a wide grin. Sheepishly, I wave back. And I find myself smiling back.

I shake my head. How can I be shaken so easily? But I'm curious. What kind of person are you? Are your words and actions sincere? Can I trust you?

I sigh, resting my head against the window. I don't think I can even trust myself anymore. There are so many things I don't know anymore. I think I'm being shaken up.

As he instructed, I went to eat food. The nearest place that looked good was a burger shop. I can't remember when was the last time I had one. Shortly after finishing my meal I get a call from Jung Kook. I had already saved his number earlier.

"Yeobeosyo?"

"Where are you?" Jung Kook asks.

"Um, about fifteen minutes away from the museum." I reply.

"Good. You know that plaza by the university near here, where all the street vendors are set up?"

"Yeah."

"Alright. I want you to go there." Jung Kook says.

"What?"

"Just go there. And try to find me."

A/N: hey guys. I didn't put up the chapter last week, I know I know. Mianhae. This is a little short but I'll try to put up part two. I wanted to at least update something. Probably has many errors. Anyways, I hope you like it.
