"Aren't you the girl seen with Jung Kook?"

I looked up at the customer. "Excuse me?"

"It is you!"

"Um, do we know each other?"

She flipped back her hair. "No, but that's not important. Hey, you two aren't dating, right? Some crazy people are spreading rumors without even having been there. You can't believe anything on the internet. As a future journalist, I will only write what is true. It's important to get your facts straight before taking things as the truth. "

"Uh, are you going to buy something?" I asked meekly.

I felt uncomfortable. I wasn't usually confronted by strangers. And this girl seemed to talk a lot.

She smiled. "Oh, my bad. A pack of cigarettes, please."

"Can I see your ID?"

"Of course."

She claimed to be a journalist but lot of kids from school liked to try and buy cigarettes. She looked young enough to still be in high school.

"Thank you... Jini-ssi."

"It was nice meeting you. And don't worry, I'll make sure to tell off all the haters on fan cafes. Fans these days are so possessive, you know? You seem like a sweet girl, though."

"Uh...thank you. Have a good night."

What a strange customer. I wonder what she meant by haters. Surely,  people wouldn't make a riot out of the encounter I had with Jung Kook. Chung Hee is one thing, but can  there really be any more people like her? Is everyone that childish?

I rang up the last customer and got ready to close the store. It was past eleven. I turned everything off and locked up the store. It was a warm September night and I shivered despite the heat. I pulled my bag closer to me and started walking briskly.

This area was fairly safe but I couldn't help but get scared when walking alone at night. Not too mention the wild University students were always out at night.

"Aren't you pretty? How old are you babe?"

I stiffened as the stranger leaned in close to me.

"G-Get away from me." I stammered.

"Aw, you're so cute." His breath reeked of alcohol. "Come on, I just want to play a bit."

"Leave me alone." I quickened my pace. But even in his drunken state, his legs seemed to function perfectly.

I yelped when he grabbed my wrist. "I hate it when girls play hard to get."

I tried to tug my wrist out of his grasp. "Leave me alone!"

I staggered backwards as suddenly someone pushed him back.

"The lady said to leave her alone."

The guy smirked coldly. "Who are you?"

My savior hesitated for a second. "I'm her older brother. Why? Get lost before I call the police for sexual harassment!"

With that the man begrudgingly walked away. Now that he was gone, my sense of courage came back.

"I oughtta-"I sighed and my shoulders slumped in relief. I turned to the person who had rescued me. "Thank you so much. I don't know what I would have done without you."

He was wearing a face mask. But I could tell he was smiling by the crinkling of his eyes.

"No problem. After all, that's what heroes do."

I fought the urge to cringe. Maybe if I slowly back away, he won't notice.

"I can't stand those kinds of perverts. Perverts of any kind really. But especially the drunk ones who don't take any responsibility for their actions. Hey- where are you going? I'll walk you to the bust stop."

I silently cursed and plastered a smile. "You don't have to. It's just a short walk."

"Ay, don't sweat it. Some weirdo might try to come on to you again."

Why was this guy so chivalrous? I sighed and decided not to fight it. Though, should I be trusting him so easily? He did save me, but he could just be hiding his true intentions.

He continued to ramble on but I couldn't help but find his voice familiar. There was no mistaking it, I most definitely knew this voice.

"Um, mister... what's your name?" I asked. Might as well find out who's 'protecting' me.

"Me? Jung- uh Jung Min Woo. Yeah, Min Woo. That's my name."

I looked at him skeptically. Jung Min Woo my butt. It sounds like he made that up on the spot.

"Nice to meet you, Jung Min Woo. You from here?"

"Um, no. I'm from Busan actually. But I live in Seoul, near Gangnam. I'm here to meet a friend."

Sure.

"We're here." I announced as we reached the bench at the bus stop.

Min Woo checked his phone for the time. "The bus won't be here for another 15 min. I'll wait until then."

I was beginning to grow suspicious. This guy was going way out of his way. Is he trying to stalk me?

His phone rang and I glanced over. I managed to see the caller ID.

Ye In.

"Oh, hey babe.... yeah something came up. Don't worry, I'll be there in a bit... uh huh. Okay. See you later."

I guess he wasn't lying about meeting a friend. He just didn't say what kind.

"Girlfriend?" I asked curiously.

He ran his hand against his nape. "Yeah, something like that. I've got to go now. It was nice meeting you."

"You too. Thanks again, for earlier."

"Oh, no problem. After all, that's wha-"

"Don't." I interrupted before he could finish.

"Sorry."

Even after he left his aroma lingered. As I sat there waiting for the bus to come, I thought about the odd familiarity of Min Woo. His voice...and this scent. Where have I met him before?

He almost smells like... Jung Kook.

I snorted. What would an idol like him with such a busy schedule be doing in these parts of town? And I don't recall him ever being so dorky?

Seriously, who even says because that's what heroes do? (A/N: I say it all the time)

I must have some kind of idol disease.

I shook my head and rested on the glass behind me.

I can't wait to go home and go to bed.
