Aspen's POV
I feel something damp and cold against my temple. It feels different from the warm damp feeling I felt before I slipped into unconsciousness. My head was aching worse than when that Peek-A-Boo girl hit me in the head.
My eyes felt heavy, but I started to feel the material of a towel. A presence was in front of me. I slowly began lifting my head, but it felt like my brain was bouncing against my skull. I tried to move my arms, but they were still restrained. I thought it was a crazy dream and maybe I was laying in bed next to Barry after my concussion. Maybe all of this was a fever dream from that moment on.
Or maybe Barry saved me before I woke up and he is patting my temple. But I was wrong. My hands are still tied to a chair and now I know who is in front of me. I forced my eyes to open, but everything was blurry.
My eyes steadied on the figure in front of me. It was him. Evan. He smiled at me as he continued to pat my temple with his damp napkin.
"Ahh, you're awake, darling." He cheered, moving his eyes back to his action. I carefully looked around, not able to speak yet. Things were familiar here, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I turned back to Evan, who was merrily wiping the sting off of my forehead. "I see your boyfriend isn't so gentle." I glared at him, lifting my leg and thrusting it forward. He groaned and pulled away from me, holding his gut.
"I see you're still upset." He sighed, rubbing his stomach and looking up at me. I glared at him while his lips turned up into a gentle smirk. A tear fell from my eye. He reached up to stroke my hair and I cowered away. I couldn't get very far from him, and he tried again, succeeding this time. He wiped my cheek and positioned my face to look at him. "Don't worry, you don't have to be afraid. I'm here now. You won't ever see him again."
"Get off of me!" I ordered, bringing my leg up again, but he grabbed my knee and forced my leg back down.
"Is that any way to thank the man who saved you?" He scoffed, looking up at me with a warm look. I stared at him in disbelief, that he was in front of me, and confusion, because I had no idea what he was talking about.
"What are you talking about?" I spat at him.
"The Flash. He's been hurting you. He got angry and pushed you to the ground. That's how you got this." He reached up to touch my head and I scoffed.
"I'm not freaking stupid! He would never hurt a hair on my head!" I shouted at him. He pressed his lips together and let his hand fall. He hung his head and slightly shook it.
"I figured that wouldn't work. It was worth a shot." He looked back up at me and I glared at him again. "But, on a fun note, I've figured out the identity of your darling Flash." He stood up from his squatted position and I rolled my eyes, trying to stay strong.
"What?" I asked sarcastically.
"I've known that you've been running around with The Flash, but when you came to visit me at the prison, I saw the forensic scientist. After some research, Barry Allen popped up." My heart dropped as I stared at Evan's back.
"I didn't visit you. You screamed my name." I muttered. He smirked as he turned around and leaned against the table. I began hearing thunder and I noticed it was raining.
"Well, we don't have to worry about that anymore. And you don't have to worry about Barry Allen anymore." I stared up at him in anger. "Do you recognize this place?" I looked around, trying to find anything that would give away where I was. "I'll help you out." I looked down at my wrists and saw he had untied them. I stood up, watching him carefully as I looked around.
Then something caught my eye. A picture. This was disturbing. I walked up to it, grabbing it. It was of me. And my mother. We were sitting out on the porch and she was hugging me. Immediately tears filled my eyes. I dropped the picture, quickly looking around and the plaid couch caught my eyes.
