Last night, Barry did some investigations to make sure that the murderer was not still around. Once he saw no one was there, he left and changed, waiting for the police to get there so he could investigate the crime scene. He invited me to stay at his house, but I respectfully declined because I had to process it all. So, I went home while he was at the crime scene.
From Iris's flirting to making up lies on the fly to leave without anyone knowing where you're going. That's a rough life to live and just a few weeks ago, I was in Iris's position. Was this how life was going to be from now on? Lying about everything?
In Starling City, I didn't have to lie to anyone because everyone I knew also knew who Oliver was. I didn't have to make up stories or excuses, but with Barry, it's different. This is a whole new experience that was thrilling and cruel.
I went to S.T.A.R. Labs and sat in the Cortex. It was a lot nicer being able to sit out in the Cortex rather than my dark lab all day. But now I get to know every juicy secret and metahuman drama. Thankfully, Caitlin was there too, but all she was doing was wanting me to tell her about me and Barry.
Thankfully, Barry and Joe came in just before I was about to spill all of my secrets. They explained to us that the coroner was killed by hail and that some guy named Mark Mardon was after Joe because Joe killed Clyde Mardon. They brought up the two brothers on the screen and I rubbed my temples.
"So Clyde Mardon has a brother?" Caitlin asked, walking away from the screen.
"This is a lot for it being eight-thirty in the morning." I groaned. Barry chuckled as he rubbed my shoulders from behind my chair.
"Both brothers survived the plane crash and then the dark matter released from the particle accelerator explosion impacted them both in the same way." Dr. Wells said.
"This is more drama than my freshman year of high school," I commented, making everyone chuckle. Barry continued to rub my shoulders, sending chills to pop up all over my body.
"Yeah, but Mark's powers are way more precise," Barry explained. "To be able to control the weather like that, indoors?"
"He would have to be a Weather Wizard. Ooh! Been waiting since the first week to use that one." Cisco said, sipping his drink causing Caitlin and I to laugh a little. After Cisco drank his drink he instantly got a brain freeze.
"Trigeminal headache?" Caitlin asked.
"A whatie headache?" Cisco asked.
"Trigeminal headache is a brain freeze," I said as Barry stopped rubbing my shoulders and crossed his arms instead. Cisco turned to Caitlin and me and with an annoyed look.
"Then why didn't you just call it brain freeze?" Cisco asked as Joe changed the subject.
"Okay, so you running around a twister in the opposite direction will not do the trick will it?" Joe asked, walking toward Barry. He shook his head. Cisco quickly turned around.
"I legit just remembered with Clyde I was making something that would attract unbound atmospheric electrons," Cisco said.
"Like a grounding mechanism?" Barry further questioned.
"Caitlin," I whispered. She bent down.
"What?" She whispered back. I turned so I was whispering in her ear.
"Who is Clyde?" I asked. She laughed and I turned my head so she could whisper in my ear.
"Clyde is Mark's younger brother who was the first metahuman Barry went up against. Clyde could also control the weather and Barry ran around his twister really fast and then Joe shot him." She explained. I nodded, now understanding what they were talking about.
