Barry's POV

It's been about a week since Aspen and my second date. We've been spending some small-time together like I would go over to her house and we would watch some movies or play games, and we would go out to dinner. We would also see each other at work a lot too.

When I went to S.T.A.R. Labs, I would subtly sneak into her lab and we would chat for hours it seemed while she did her work. I even helped her with a few parts of her research. She would also come to my lab on our lunch break and we would sit there and eat Big Belly Burger and talk. She also helped me with some of my work too.

It's been great to see her as much as I have. She's an amazing girl, just like I imagined. I've finally gotten her out of her introverted shell and now we go out and do fun things. Caitlin and Cisco have been teasing us since our second date. Unfortunately for them, nothing has been labeled or official. We kissed once and that's it.

But lying is the worst part about spending time with Aspen. Today I told her I'll be busy with work all day and we probably won't be able to meet for lunch. But that's not the case. Today, I'm helping Caitlin all day with finding Ronnie.

We found him and Professor Stein together in one body and Ronnie's the host body so all that Caitlin has to look at is Ronnie's face. We eventually found Professor Stein's wife so she could help us find Ronnie and Stein. We needed any information we could gather and she mentioned that a couple of days after the particle exploded, Ronnie's body showed up at her house then disappeared.

We convinced her to come with us to find him and hopefully talk to him to get through to him. I don't know how well this will work, but I can only hope for the best, for Caitlin's sake. We went under one of the bridges. Ronnie had long hair that was on his face, his clothes were dirty. He looked terrible.

Stein's wife started to walk toward Ronnie, tears filling her eyes and I watched from a distance. This was sad. Caitlin looked so disturbed and upset. I can't imagine how she's feeling. She's looking at her fiance that she assumed would be dead.

"Is this you?" Stein's wife asked.

"Yes, but I can't let you see me like this," Ronnie said, looking away.

"What is my favorite color?" She asked.

"You could never decide so you chose stripes." He said, smiling. She ran up to him and hugged him. I smiled. They found each other even when he's stuck in Ronnie's body. I've always been a sucker for a good love story.

If only Aspen was here. She would appreciate this moment.

"It is you. These people are going to help you." She said releasing. Caitlin stayed quiet, even though I knew that she wanted to reunite with him just like Stein's wife wanted to. It hurt to see her this way, but there was nothing we could do until we pull them apart.

We took him back to the lab and cleaned him up. I watched Caitlin take his temperature and glance at it with a worried look. It must've been high, but it's understandable. They are conjoined metahumans who can produce fire.

Caitlin walked into the main area of the Cortex and sighed. She looked like she was a mess, but trying to handle herself professionally. She was scared and Dr. Wells didn't seem to have a very comforting look on his face. He looked serious. I looked over at Cisco and we gave the same look. We knew what was news Dr. Wells was about to give Caitlin.

"Ronnie is a human bomb." Dr. Wells said as Caitlin stood still. Caitlin looked at me and all I could do was look down with my hands in my pockets. What could I say?

"How do you know?" She asked, looking at Dr. Wells.

"Well, when the particle accelerator exploded some nuclear fusion happened that formed them together and now he only has a few hours until, phew," Cisco said, using hand motions at the last part. He was trying not to hurt her feelings either.
