Chapter 5

Lexi's POV

During the 3 hour car ride I saw Caden constantly glancing at me as if I would dissapear into thin air. It got to the point where he wouldn't stop staring so I pinched his arm and threatened to cut his balls off if he didn't stop. After that he didn't glance at me again until we arrived at the Bluemoon pack. We stopped in front of a big pack house and hopped out of the car. I looked around the place with memories suddenly flashing in my head, I breathed in the familiar scent of the pack and followed Kane who spent the afternoon introducing me to the pack which I remember some faces.

"Lexi want to see the graves now?" Kane asked. I hesitantly nodded. He led me and Caden to the pack cemetery abit far from the pack house. We reached a rusty old gate that was the entrance and Kyle opened it with a creak and showed me to my parents grave.

"Alpha We should leave Lexi to reunite with her parents." Kyle said, Caden nodded and followed him as they stood a couple feet away from me far enough so they wouldn't hear me.

I kneeled in front of the big tombstone that had an angel on top with a small picture of my parents. I had my moms eyes and small nose and my dads black hair and smile. On the bottom of the picture in cursive writing it said,

'In loving memory of Kayla and Lenox Raid who are the loving parents of Lexi Raid. We will forever be in your heart.'

I didn't realise I was crying until I felt my tears streaming down. "I love you guys so much, I miss yous, your gone because of me. It's my fault, yous were planning on staying home to relax but I wanted to go out and explore." I silently cried trying to stop the tears from flowing. "I should've let yous relax and stay home but I was stubborn and wanted to go to a place that was special to yous. I'm sorry, p-please forgive me. If it wasn't for me then yous both would still be alive, breathing, in front of me. I-I'm sorry." I whispered hoping they heard me.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to face Kane. "It's not your fault, don't ever think that. I know they wouldn't want you to blame yourself, things happen for a reason and they are with the moon goddess in a better place watching over you." He said hugging me. I smiled genuinly and thanked him.

"Kane?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you take me to the place where it happened, where they died."

I was standing by the waterfall at the edge of the territory where my parents took their last breaths. It's weird how they died at the place where they first met, but this place will forever hold a special place in my heart. I want to think about the positive things about this place that was special to my parents and not think about the lives that were taken here.

I turned toward the trees where I remember running, it was a 2 hour run in wolf form to Demitri's territory but a 7 hour walk in human form. I can't believe I actually made it that far before I passed out years ago.

"Kane what happened to the rouges that attacked that day?" I asked him curiously. "4 were killed and we captured one and now hes been in the cells ever since. We questioned him but he wouldn't talk we tried to torture him and negotiate but he just wouldn't budge." He said

"I would like to pay him a visit now. We will take Lexi back to the pack house and Max will watch over her." Caden demanded.

"No I'm coming too! I deserve to see the person who killed my parents now lets not waste time and go." I said marching back to the car with Caden grumbling to himself. I watched the trees go by as Kyle speeded towards the heart of the Bluemoon territory. Listening to music on my phone to past time. We arrived to the prison area where there were 2 guards guarding the main entrance. They saw us and opened the doors for us and closed it as we headed inside going deep in to the prison. Kane led us down a flight of stairs and through hallways until he finally stopped in front of a metal door where another two guards stood guarding this area. We went in the cell and saw a man covered in dried blood and scars, he was chained to a chair. He looked up at stared at me then gave me an evil smirk.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you princess. The master would definitely approve of you and claim you as his prize." He said still smirking. Caden growled and turned towards me, he reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone with my earphones. He put both ear pieces into my ears, "I don't want you to hear this conversation. I know you will stress yourself over his words and live in fear." Caden whispered. I shook my head at him, "I can handle a few words I'm not as innocent as you think I am. I'm not a little girl." I huffed.

He sighed, "Please princess, your not going to like what he has to say, I'm only doing this to protect you. I don't want you to snap when he mentions your parents or about the day it happened."

I gave in and played a song and just watched Caden interrogate him. I could see the way Cadens hands and jaw were clenched and his back tensed at every word that the man said, something felt off about that guy, like he knew way to much about me. Who could his supposed master be? What are they planning?
