Chapter 8

Lexi's POV

These past two weeks Caden has been training me non stop, 6am to 3pm. To say I was exhausted 24/7 was an understatement. Hes been wearing a hard face all day everyday til he goes to bed and its driving me crazy! It's like hes taking his anger out on me at training, hes literally going to kill me.

So right now I'm sitting on a log having a rest from training while Caden had to take a call.

"Lexi what are you doing? Get up trainings not done." He said glaring at me.

I sighed, "Just give me a break, I need it."

"A break?! Get up right now and finish your set! What if I'm not there to save you? A rogue won't give you a break they will kill you instantly! So I need you to train harder to defend yourself until I get to you!" He exclaimed pacing back and foward. I stood up and glared at him.

"What's your fucking problem?! This isn't just about me trying to defend myself you know damn well that I could take out a whole pack! Theres something Your not telling me and I'm sick of you taking your anger out on me so tell me right now what the fuck is going on!" I demanded looking at him. He avoided eye contact as he spoke, "Theres nothing to worry about I'm handling it."

I rolled my eyes, "Caden I'm the luna of this pack, your other half so I deserve to know whats going on." I stated.

"Lexi I don't think-"

"Tell me right now or I'm moving into a seperate room and I will reject you as a mate." I said. He growled at me, "I don't want you to stress about it." He said.

I sighed, "Caden I'm not a little girl, I can handle it....please."

He leaned against a tree and looked towards me. "The rogues who killed your parents, they came looking for you to kill you. Rogues and some vampires are working for a guy who we don't know because you, like Demitris said are part of a prophecy. You were born to fight againt this evil person who wants to take your powers to rule the world. And the only way he can do that is if he cuts out your heart and burn it using dark magic. I'm not going to lose you to him, I can't. Hes not like any other vampire, he has alpha blood in him and pure lycan heart. There is a theory that he is a decendant of one of the first alphas who mated with a full blooded dark witch. But you have powers which need to be unlocked so you can master it as soon as possible, so my mom called a close friend of hers that is a witch. She'll help you bring out your inner powers and teach you to control them."

"Wait so my parents are dead because of me? Because I'm some part of a prophecy?" I asked even though I knew the answer. Caden pulled me into his chest to comfort me.

"Just know that everything bad will lead to something great. Now come on I think thats enough for today, you have a lot on your mind right now." He said walking us back inside the pack house. I wonder who is behind all this. I just want to find him and kill him for the death of my parents.

'Don't worry you will, I believe in you'

Caden smiled at me while I groaned. "Teach me how to do the mind block thingy!" I begged, he shook his head and chuckled.

"Now wheres the fun in that? I love hearing you talk about my washable abs." He smirked at me. I looked away to hide my blush. "Shut up I was sleep talking." I mumbled. He raised his eyebrows at me, "Oh really? This was during dinner. Last time I checked you weren't asleep." He said smirking.

"Who are we talking about?" I acted as if I have no clue what he was on about. "I'm hungry." Caden's phone started to ring, "I'll meet you downstairs for lunch." He told me and left.

As I walked to the kitchen I saw Caden's office door a little bit open. I moved closer to hear what he was talking about and put my ear against the door.

"Demitri I understand what your saying but I don't want to put her in danger. Do you have any ideas on who it might be? No offence but the council are old and theres not much they can do, all they do is sit in chairs and give orders. Great well thats settled then. She'll be happy to see you again, okay goodbye." It went quiet, then next thing I know the door swings open and I quickly act like I was looking at the picture on the wall.

"I know you were listening, I smelled your scent." He said wrapping his arms around me and leading us to the kitchen.

"What are you talking about I just got here." I said. He laughed, "I have a nosey maaate." He sang, I elbowed him and escaped his grip.

"Ah nice of you two to finally show up, lunch is served." Our chef Jerry said. I quickly sat down and dug in.

"Mmhmm shaste deshicious." I said with my mouth full. I quickly swallowed, "Sorry." They chuckled. "So....Caden what was the phone call about?." I asked trying to seem natural.

"We are going to fly to The Knight Kingdom for an important meeting at the castle. But only for a day." He stated. I squealed excitedly, "I get to see everyone! Oh you have to taste the chefs cabonara its sooo yummy! He adds his grandmas secret recipe, ugh you just have to see for yourself. When do we leave?" I asked, "Tomorrow morning and pack light, I don't want to see more then one bag." He warned.

"Okay fine, I'll tell Max to pack as well."

"No need I already told him. All you have to do is get your soft round ass in the car ready to go airport."

"How would you know my ass is soft perv." I mumbled, he smirked at me. " Trust me I know." I narrowed my eyes at him, "I'm creating a barrier when we go sleep."

"We'll see." He continued to eat his lunch trying to hide his smile.

UNKNOWN POV

"Master how are we going to get her away from everyone else? Shes always with someone strong." One of my men asked.

"Someone whos known her since she was a little girl has offered his help. Apparently she pissed him off and hes wanted her gone ever since he met her. He will lure her away." I explained to the men in the room. It's too bad she has too die, she has grown into a beautiful woman. But once I have her I will be able to control all supernatural creatures. I just hope she doesnt learn to unlock and control her powers, that just makes catching her even more difficult.

"Master we have news that she will be in the Knight kingdom, should we kidnap her then?" My right hand man asked.

"No we can't risk it, there are too many guards and to make it worse other Vampire clan leaders and Alphas will be there, including myself." I replied. She has no idea whats coming to her, I won't stop until I get what I want and no alpha mate of hers can stop me.

We will reunite once again sister.
