Chapter 15

Lexi's POV

I felt someone shaking me and it was getting annoying. I groaned and swatted the thing that was shaking me.

"Ouch! Lexi wake up! Baby please!"

I rubbed my eyes and turned to Caden. "Who died?" He helped me sit up as I held the blanket to cover my chest.

"How are you feeling? Are you okay?" He asked concerned. Was he talking about last night?

"No not about that. You were glowing." He says putting a hand to my head.

"Awe thanks-"

"No not as in beautiful glowing I mean you were actually glowing like, like a freaking glow stick!"
I sighed, "Caden can we talk about whatever happened when I'm fully awake, I'm tired and sore and I just want to-" I dropped my body in a sleeping position and let sleep take over completely.

The next day Caden kept tabs on me also telling Max to mind link him if I ever started to glow which I'm pretty sure Max wanted to laugh at because of how ridiculous it sounded. And right now I was sitting in the backyard with Becca staring at me looking ready to burst any moment.

I sighed and looked at her. "Okay you can let it out."

She squealed loudly and started bombarding me with questions I didn't even understand properly.

"And stop!" I say as she quickly shut her mouth. "One question at a time but! You can only ask 2 questions." I say signalling for her to talk.

"Okay! How was it?! Am I going to be a Godmother?!" She says bouncing on the edge of her seat. "It was perfect, enough said and It's possible." I say grinning cheekily.

"Damn he must of gave it to you good." She laughed leaning back on the chair. If only she knew how good he gave it to me, if only.

After a long day of Becca pestering me with more questions and Max teasing me about becoming a woman I was finally in bed waiting for Caden to come out of the bathroom.

"Caden hurry up and give me cuddles!" I whined wanting to feel his touch. He chuckled coming out of the bathroom and getting under the covers making sure I was secured in his arms. I breathed in deeply loving the sparks dancing on my skin.

"I have a question." He whispered kissing my mark.

"Shhh not now."

"Why didn't I feel your, you know the barrier when I entered you? I thought you were a virgin? I mean you know I'm not and I regret it, I really do but the thought of someone else taking you before me? It pissess me off." He asked with a hint of sadness.

"Caden, you are my first. The only reason why there was no barrier was because it broke when Demetri took me horseback riding. It can happen which was a shock to me and just plain awkward with Demetri witnessing something like that happen. Hurt like a bitch I tell you, now go sleep." I pecked his lips and faced my back to his chest once again.

~Dream~

There was a bright light that was pulling me towards it. Where am I? It was dark and creepy so I picked up my pace and went towards the light.

"My beautiful daughter." An angelic voice spoke. There was a lady in a white dress with a floating crown above her head, she seemed familiar to me.

"Who are you?" I asked watching as she came closser to me lifting a hand to my cheek. "I'm your mother, you may also know me as the moon goddess."
She smiled genuinly. I froze, was I really talking to the moon goddess who is my mother or was this just another dream?

She laughed "This is real but also your dream. I can visit you here because it's easier to connect to you since your relaxed and your mind is clear when your asleep. I could visit you when your awake but you've never been good at keeping your mind clear." She says taking a step back.

"So why visit me now? Why not before?" I asked trying not to sound rude.

"I'm here to warn you Lexi, there is a mole amongst your friends. I can sense there bad spirit in your territory so I want you to be careful." She explained. A mole? Who could want to hurt innocent ole me?

"The war is coming sooner then you thought, you must be ready when the time comes. There is alot of dark magic coming for you, so after you completed the mating bond I decided to give you your rightful powers." She grinned down at me getting all excited.

"Wait! I won't know how to use them in time for the war." I couldn't help but feel dissapointed in myself.

"Oh my sweet daughter, don't worry I will give you past memories of how you used and controlled your powers like an expert. Now stay still this will only sting for a short time." She says placing both her middle fingers on my temples. As soon as she made contact with my skin I saw every past memory of my past lives but the one that was vivid to me was the life I had with the moon goddess and how she taught me how to use my powers. My head started hurting feeling like it was about to explode. She then let go and I fell on my knees holding my head in my hands. The pain quickly vanished as if nothing happened. I stood back up.

"Your mate is waiting for you, it's time to go back." She pulled me into a hug which made me feel at peace. "Goodbye Lexi, I'll see you again soon." She says floating backwards into the light and vanishing completely. The ground started to shake and I felt my self starting to wake up.

"Lexi baby! Wake up!" I heard Caden's panicked voice. I opened my eyes and looked at him.

"Whoa your eyes! They just flashed purple! We need to find out whats happening to you." I stopped him from talking.

"I spoke to the moon goddess, she gave me my memories and powers. Look!" I waved my hand and a basket of chocolate was on my lap.

"Oh typical! The first thing you use your powers on is to get you chocolate? But to be honest that is pretty cool!" He grinned taking a chocolate himself.

"She also said that the war will be coming sooner then we thought and that theres a spy in our group of friends." I say as he tensed.

"We have to prepare and be ready, I'll double the boarders. I'm going to speak with Demetri and call other alphas and vampires for an alliance. I have a feeling this war will be the biggest one yet. And don't speak to anyone about your powers, we don't know who to suspect so stay alert around anyone- Lexi! Put that chocolate down and pay attention!" He said incredulously.

"I'm listening don't worry. But does that mean I can't tell Becca about this?" I asked.

"No, you have to act normal and keep your mindlink open to me at all times. Don't stray to far from where ever I am just incase okay?"

I nodded, he kissed my head. "Go back to sleep, I need to call Demetri."
He left as I laid on the bed worried at all the possible scenarios that could happen. But one thing I knew for sure is that I will fight along Caden no matter what happens.
