Giyuu's POV
"You were way out of line pushing him, he's injured and not fit to attend class" I said sternly at Shinazugawa.
The things that piss me off about him just keep piling up. He was most definitely in the wrong to drag Muichiro out of bed and all the way to class.
"According to Tanjirou, he tore 19 out of 36 stitches. Can you not see how that is quite wrong" Sabito asked him calmly. I didn't know how he could be so calm.
"They're not on a cruise" he snapped.
"And they aren't in the navy either, but even then Muichiro would still have been authorized to stay in bed and rest. You're going to leave him be until he's better and that's that" I said lowly.
He clicked his tongue and walked out of the room, "You baby them, they'll never survive at this rate" I heard him say.
I was confused by his words, it's not like they'd use these skills in the cities. Some of them don't even live anywhere near the ocean and they were being taught mostly boating skills. I dismissed it and turned to Sabito.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"Nothing's wrong, why would you think anything was wrong?" he answered, but I knew damn well he was lying to me.
"You're making that face," I said with a soft smile.
"What face? This is just my regular face" he mumbled.
"You've got that crinkle in between your eyebrows, you always get that crinkle when you're upset about something" I said with a chuckle.
He gasped and covered the spot between his eyebrows to hide the crinkle, "Damn crinkle"
"Come on, what's wrong?" I asked as I nudged him in the arm.
"Well... as much as it pains me to say" he paused for a moment, "I think maybe you were right"
"Of course I was right" he smacked me on the arm as I thought about what he'd said. Sabito rarely ever admits he was wrong, let alone say that I was the one who was right, "Right about what?" I asked carefully.
"About the coordinates, they're definitely suspicious. I asked Shinazugawa about them this morning and he just said we were 'getting away', whatever the hell that means" he explained, "I don't know, it sounds stupid but it's been gnawing at me"
"It doesn't sound stupid Sabito, they're definitely suspicious but there's really nothing we can do about it" I said.
"Another thing he said was something about yesterday, he said we were 3 knots off course and he was right. But the cockpit is always locked, there's no way in hell he could have known something like that" Sabito said.
"Mm, what do you say we conduct an experiment then?" I asked.
"What kind of experiment?" he asked with some mischief in his voice which meant that no matter what, he was in.
I explained that we should go off course on purpose to test whether or not Shinazugawa would know we were off course. Also I wanted to mess with him a little bit, but that was unrelated to the issue.
We set the boat to go 5 knots off course, not for too long. Just to see if he'd notice, if he didn't then that would be that. But if he did then I would definitely be very suspicious about his intentions on my ship. Maybe I'd lock him in the hull if he really pissed me off, but in actuality if he was a danger to other people on the ship, especially Sabito then he was going in the hull and that was final.
He'd already caused a ruckus with Muichiro which upset not only Tanjirou but almost every other person in that room. I can imagine it was a disturbing sight to see, I'd actually had about five people that were in that room tell me how disturbing it was.
