Chapter 19 - Who Would You Do

EXTREME INTENSE KISSY-KISSY SCENES AHEAD, MORE INTENSE THAN THE LAST TIME 

Tanjirou's POV

I got them to leave the food, Rui was ok with it, but convincing Inosuke to put the food back was like talking down a rabid dog.

"Little goodie-goodie" Inosuke snapped as he came back into the room.

"Inosuke, don't you see what you did was wrong. You weren't only stealing from the kitchen, you were stealing from others as well" Tanjirou explained in a voice, "That food wasn't yours!"

"K" Rui sighed and then turned to a book on his bunk.

"Whatever" Inosuke scoffed.

"Is that all you guys have to say for yourselves?" Tanjirou asked.

"Just shut up already" Inosuke groaned, "I'm not even hungry anymore, all your whining has ruined my appetite"

Tanjirou just sighed, "I'm especially disappointed in Muichiro and Rui. I expect this kind of thing from Inosuke, not you two. You guys should be more responsible!"

"What are you, my dad?" Rui retorted in annoyance.

The other two obviously didn't care about what I was saying, but Muichiro furrowed his brows and buried his head in his pillow. I sighed, at least he had taken my words seriously.

But at the same time I wasn't too angry, I was a bit hungry too. I was thinking about going to see Mitsuri to see what was happening with the food, but if she wasn't in the kitchen then I didn't want to bother her in her room. It was starting to get late too.

We all went to sleep hungry that night, and the next morning wasn't any better.

"Is it just me, or did we actually sleep in?" Zenitsu yawned as he threw his legs over the side of his bed.

"No, we definitely did, the sun is up already," Muichiro said.

I had just woken up, my eyes blinked open. I groaned, but surprisingly enough, I wasn't very tired. And they were right, it wasn't very early either, the sun wasn't sitting on the horizon like it usually was whenever we woke up. And I was awoken from the others talking, they were all still in bed but they were all awake.

"How strange, and nobody heard the morning call?" Muichiro said.

"No, I woke up first, the call still hasn't come from right about the time it was supposed to" Rui said as he flipped through the pages of his book.

"That really is weird" I sighed.

"I don't care what it is, I just want food. I put the food back last night but right now I couldn't care less what Tanjirou says" Inosuke snapped as the growling of his stomach echoed throughout the room.

"Inosuke no! We went over this already!" I said as he ran out of the door and down the hall. I jumped out of bed and went after him, while running I realized my own hunger as the grumbling from Inosuke's stomach blended with my own.

I chased after him and in my haste I wasn't able to stop fast enough when the door of the girls cabin was thrown open... right into my face.

I fell back on my butt and clenched onto my nose, I groaned at the pain and felt my bones. My nose didn't feel broken, maybe bruised but it wasn't that bad.

"Tanjirou! I'm so sorry, I had no idea!" a female voice exclaimed, Kanao.

"Um, it's fine, it's not that bad" I groaned, she grabbed my arm and helped pull me up off the ground
