Tanjirou's POV

I was teaching some of the others how to stitch fabric together, Obanai, Himejima, Kanao, Rui, Inosuke and Uzui.

"I don't get why we're being forced to do this," Inosuke grumbled.

"The birds ate the sails, we have to compromise or we won't be getting anywhere anytime soon" I explained as I continued to stitch pieces of scrap together.

"That's why we have an engine isn't it?" Inosuke sighed as he fumbled with a thin needle.

"We won't get by on just the engine alone, what happens if the engine breaks while we're at sea?" I told him, "Having at least one puny sail is better than nothing"

"Yeah but why do I have to do this?" Inosuke whined.

"Because, we're stitching smaller scraps together and the others will stitch the smaller ones to create bigger ones and eventually we'll have a sail" I said.

"This is stupid, those birds ate the ropes too, the sail is useless if we can't even hosite it" Inosuke continued to grumble.

"There are extra ropes in the hull, just keep sewing and breakfast will be out shortly" Giyuu said as he suddenly appeared next to me.

"And we're just supposed to listen to you?" Inosuke snapped.

"Listen, it's not about listening to me now, but we all have to help each other to be able to get the ship going again in case those birds decide to turn around" he said.

"He's right Inosuke, we need to start working together again if we're going to get out of this mess" I told him.

I was helping the people who couldn't exactly sew while the others who could sew were putting together bigger pieces of the sail. The obvious reason for this was so that if the ones who couldn't sew messed up it would be on a smaller scale.

I put down my needle and sighed, my fingers were getting sore.

I got up from the table and left the dining room. I wanted to go check on Muichiro. There was nothing wrong with MUICHIRO, but I get the feeling that he's become attached to Mr. Quackers, because when he fell off his head after he made that weird sound Muichiro insisted that Shinobu run some tests or something to make sure he was ok.

I walked into the infirmary, I saw Muichiro sitting on one of the beds with Mr. Quackers in his lap.

"What's going on, is Mr. Quackers ok?" I asked as I entered the room.

"I don't know, Shinobu did an x-ray but she won't tell me anything" Muichiro said as he carefully stroked the back of Mr. Quackers.

"Come on Shinobu, nothing good has come from you acting mysterious and not telling us anything" I said to her as she stared at some small x-rays. I walked over and looked over her shoulder to see the dark sheets.

It was obviously Mr. Quackers from what I could see, but there were some odd splotches where his stomach was.

"What is that?" I asked.

"It's glass," Shinobu said simply.

"What's the big deal about glass?" Muichiro asked, "Is it going to kill him or something?"

"No I don't think so, it doesn't look like it's embedded into his stomach lining. Maybe it scratched him a bit but it's nothing major, he'll pass the glass and the scratches will heal over time. That's not the thing that concerns me though, considering the position of the glass in his digestion track, he couldn't have ingested it too long ago" Shinobu explained, "Which means that there's bound to be land somewhere near here"
