Mr. Carter's eyes were laid on Grace. They were both standing there like statues looking directly at each other. I didn't know what to do. I tried to stay out of it and not cause any trouble.
"Grace you need to understand that we are trying our best for Belker. He will still be a part of our family". Mrs. Carter tried to solve this problem but it wouldn't get anywhere.

"I don't want him miles away from home".
"I know sweetie, but-
"I want him hear next to me. It's his home too".
Mr. Carter stomped to the kitchen and grabbed himself a glass of wine.
"Oh Daniel, please don't drink that stuff"! Mrs. Carter really despised alcohol. Mr. Carter just turned his back and ignored her. Mrs. Carter didn't say anything. She knew that he was very tired and just wanted everything to go back as it use too. I wanted everything to go back to the way it was in the beginning. Where me and Grace were so happy and we wouldn't spend a minute without each other. Those days, I could treasure forever. I didn't want it to end now. Our bond couldn't break. That would only make our hearts break.
"Are you still never gonna give up to take Belker away from me"? Grace sounded very rigid. Mrs. Carter sat and thought for a moment, while Mr. Carter got his second glass of wine.

Mrs. Carter had an idea. "Maybe we could send Belker to my brother Greg's farm"!
"You mean Uncle Greg"? Mr. Carter was all ears.
"Yes, he is very responsible and kind and he loves animals, especially dogs". "But Uncle Greg lives all the way in Tennessee"! Grace yelled. TENNESSEE? That sounded like hundreds of miles away. Even if I went there I would only be able to see Grace once a year. "That sounds like a good plan". said Mr.Carter. No it sounded like an awful idea
