The Bond

Chapter 5

Grace what a pretty name I thought.

"Hang on mom look at this little guy"! she said.

Her mom came towards me than stopped. She gave me a stare, She looked at me as if I was a monster. Grace noticed her face.

" Don't look at him as if he is some type of freak"! she snapped. Her mom was left struck dumb for a moment and put on a fake grin on her face. Grace understood that her moms smile was just made-up. She didn't say anything. Softly she put  her hand on my head, I rolled my head around her hand, it was a very nice feeling.

"Okay Grace you have been here long and your father is home waiting for us and we need to go dear"!

Grace had an upset expression , She looked at me and then looked back at her mother.

" Mom I can't leave him here, he's been alone for too long and he has no one to love, If you were in his shoes you would understand"!

Her mom looked at her and told her that she understood. I hope that she wasn't just playing along.

"Okay dear we can take him with us"!

I was so happy. I finally have a family. I followed them both in to the car. I knew what a car was since I've been on the streets for a long time. But I've never been into one. When I got in the car I got courious. I was just sniffing around. Grace was looking at me and then she started to laugh really sweetly. I loved it when she was filled with joy. We finally arrived at a small bricked house.

"Come Belker". I followed her in. When I came in everything looked very interesting. I walked on to the living room and Grace came in with some food and water.

"Here you go boy". She put the two bowls on the floor. I licked her hand and she laughed

" You're tickling me"! she said. I started to eat. I really liked the meal I had. Grace sat on a chair and I was just rolling on the rug. I knew that my life would be great.
