The Bond

She brought me home and took me up to her room and closed the door. I felt like my heart was torn apart and it was bleeding. I was coughing. Grace didn't hear. I think that because of the infection on my face I was getting sick. When Grace put me down I tried to protect her from me. I tried to open the door but it would not work. Grace didn't understand what I was doing. She thought I was hurt and came closer. I tried to get away. So you see it's hard to get away from your loved one just because you tried to protect them. Then I stopped. My head was spinning. I got dizzy. I thought of bad things and then fell to the ground.

The next morning I woke up in a vet. I was in a cage. I still felt awful. I looked at the clock on the wall. Grace must have been at school by this time. I looked around. The whole room was filled with strangers. Then a lady came and took me out of my cage and put me on the floor. My legs were weak I couldn't walk. I fell.

"What can we do with him"?

"We can't cure his face infection that's what caused all of this"!

"We don't know the blood results"!

I heard them speaking. They must taken a blood test. When I dozed off. A few hours came and Grace and her mom came to see me.

"Hi belker". said Grace and ran over to my cage and poked fingers threw the bars.

"May I talk to you in the hall"? asked the vet to Grace's mom. They went outside. I could hear them.

"He is under a very dangerous disease so you need to keep the child away from him"! said the vet

"We can't do that Grace loves that dog, she has a strong bond with him"! said her mom.

"Well I'm sorry but then your daughter is in danger"! said the vet.

I knew that Grace was in danger if she was near me.

"Come Grace it's time to go".

"Okay".

"Bye Belker"! she said and they went.

That night the vet took me out off my cage and took me to a surgery room. They gave me a pill and it made me feel tierd. I dozed off.
