Grace also broke someone's heart but Mr. and Mrs. Carter also broke her heart. I felt like both sides had a time where they were both wrong. My mind was just mixed up. I'm sure that Grace didn't mean to hurt any one. Grace came back inside with a few tear drops on her face.
Mr. and Mrs. Carter were both sitting on the couch. "Grace". Mrs. Carter's voice was soft and quiet. "Do you know what you just caused"! Grace was surprised they her father was crying she finally saw his sensitive side.
"I'm sorry"! her voice was shaking. Mr.Carter wiped his face with his hands and looked at Grace. "It's alright Grace, it's late c'mon go to bed".
So she did. I of course followed but she stopped me. "No Belker just no". Wow she had so much hatred inside her these days which really wasn't okay for anyone including me. Mr. Carter blew his nose and just leaned back. They were both quite. I licked Mr.Carters hand to cheer him up but he just took his hand away.
I wasn't going to leave him upset I just curled up between them and made myself cozy.
