Inner Child

Her blubbery voice, raking at my ears. Bloody tears in my eyes as she whips me again.
Thou shalt respect thy mother
Ah yes, respect the one that throws dagger after dagger at me. The one who is a leech, sucking my life out like she owns it  But keep that dear smile, because I can't show the pain.
Please stop hurting me mommy, the inner child is begging, pleading, teary eyes and hiding. The child is in shackles, and it gets beaten again by her. Covered in bruises and scars.
Please let me be free mother, the older me begs. You have us both chained. The cuffs are cutting into me.
I watch as you grab the inner child, and slam it against the wall. Repeatedly. I hear bones cracking, and blood and tears drip from her face.
MOMMY PLEASE NO. PLEASE STOP-
The mother continues, laughing and smiling. She takes a razor and slices the child up, then starts to choke her. The inner child lets out mutilated cries and struggles with all her strength. Then she lays still. Lifeless.
I cover my mouth, horrified at the scene before me. Then she turns to me, razor in hand
And smiles.
