Movie night gone wrong

It was friday and the girls and I decided to eat lunch at the restaurant out of school and Vanessa called Chris and told him and that they should join us. while we where waiting for them, we made our order.

Shortly the boys entered and located our table. They sat down and we greeted each other. I said hi to Derrick and he just noded.

ok i understand that maybe he does not like talking to people but if he does not want to hang out with us then he should not be here.

At this point i became angry but i just decided to keep my cool. Our orders came and we started eating. "how was classes today" Mike asked everyone, They all answered and i just shook my head cause at this point if i said anything my voice will be filled with anger.

"Guys i know we are not close friends yet but we are getting there right?", i asked them. "no" derrick said. I didnt even bother to look at him i just smiled to the others" yes offcourse i will not lie our gang will be the best" Mike answered.

"i was thinking if you guys are not busy tomorrow maybe we could have a movie night?" i asked. "That is a very good idea", Chris exlaimed. The others shook their heads and when i turned to Derrick he was looking at his phone so I didnt ask him i just turned back.

Mike noticed my change in mood so he smiled at me, I smiled back but it was not a genuine one. We finished eating and just sat on the table chilling.

"Chris, Mike i have to run i have to see someone" Derrick said standing up. Everyone told him bye but i didnt say anything i just turned back to my phone.

We talked a little more before we started leaving the table. We said bye to the boys and we went home.

The moment i got into the house my phone beemed with a notification i opened and saw it was from the shop i applied to work part time.

"Dear applicant, we are happy that you applied as our part time sales person. We are happy to inform you that you just got the job and you are welcome to start anytime you want just come with a document to show you are a student and everything is settled thank you", I screamed out of happiness as I read the e-mail before the girls came in saying they got accepted too.

Vanessa was accepted in a coffee shop and Kaysha was accepted as a receptionist at a five star hotel. We all got happy and drank to our good news.

It was saturday evening and the girls and I prepred all the snacks we will need for the movie night. Sooner or later the guys arrived and i rushed to open the door.

I thought just Mike and Chris will come but to my notice Derrick was there with them. i opened the door, hugged Mike and Chris and stepped aside for them to go in.

Derrick passed by me and went in. He greeted Van and Kay then sat down. I think he didnt say anyhting to me cause i am avoiding him but then again i do not care.

"So have u guys decided the movie?" Chris asked. I looked at the girls and we burst in laughter. they boys where confused before Kay explained to them. "Okay, so basically, we where looking for a film which we could watch and then we came to a final decision to watch 365 days, it looked interesting and we decided to watch the trailer and before it could finish we stopped it and started laughing and when we turned and looked at Elyssa and she was traumatized and had a disguested face on".

They also started laughing before Chris said he wants to watch it. I slowly turned my head and looked at him in a disgusting manner and everyone started laughing again.

After debating on if to watch it or not, we came to a conclusion to watch Chucky. I hate horror movies but i did not want to spoil the excitement everyone was having so i agreed to it.

I sat in between Derrick and the arm chair and Kay sat beside mike and Van beside Chris. The movie started and the living room became quiet.

The movie was almost coming to an end when suddenly a part on where Chucky took a man eyes out. It scared the shit of me that i shook and i mistankenly threw my drink on Derrick.

He looked very angry in which i do not know why because it was a mistake its not like i meant it. I whispered sorry but he grumbled and woke up.

I woke up too and followed him into the bathroom. I opened our cabinet and gave him a towel,"im really sorry i did not mean to spill my drink just horror movies scare the shit out of me" i apologised.

He looked at still mad then he asked"why did you agree to watch it if it scares you" he asked staring into my eyes, "becaus-" he cut me short "i dont want to hear you talk again, you always have excuses or say sorry what is wrong with you?" he screamed at me and asked me.

I became so confused if i did any other thing to him to make him this angry but my thoughts where not coming together.

"Derrick i dont understand what you mean, because from what i know we dont even know each other for long and i simply put up with you cause of my friends like did you think i will actually want to become friends with you?" i asked screaming back at him.

"I knew you where a bitch and you just proved that to me right now"he said back. "do you hate me that much?" i asked him with a pain in my chest.

He passed his fingers through his hair and looked back at me "I dont hate you, you just annoy me" he said. "I dont even know you but do you want to know the truth? you disgust me;" i answered him back.

After standing there staring into each others eyes, i got more angry so i shot the towel i was holding in my hand on his face and walked out of the bathroom.

As I went out the film had ended and Chris woke up and ran to me "Elyssa are you okay? we heard you both screaming at each other" he asked me. " I dont wanna talk about im going to rest now you guys can go on without me" I said walking to my room then i turned " maybe you should tell your friend to stop been a dickhead and if he gets angry from somewhere else he should release it on a punching bag not me" I said firmly before going into my room and slammed the door hard.

I sat down by my bed about to cry but i heard another slam of a door before i heard Derricks voice telling them to leave.

The moment i heard the door close i sighed a sigh of relieve. The more i want to know why he hates me so much, i just cant wrap my head around it.

The girls knew that when ever i am angry they dont talk to me because they know how i am. Wow movie night gone wrong.
