Having our sons back

Two months later.....

"It's finally Christmas break!" Vanessa screamed as she ran to the living room, "I know right I've been waiting. I swear I hate school so much!" Kay said and we laughed.

"Plans?" I asked, "I'm leaving in two days, I'll spend Christmas Eve with Mikes family then Christmas Day and new year with mine, he will join us" Kay answered, "that's so cute aww" I said and she smiled,

"I'll spend Christmas Eve with Chris and his family as well, the Christmas Day with mine and new years he will come over" Vanessa said, "cute" I said smiling,

"Well everyone, mum dad Steve Chelsea Stephany, are coming here and we will spend together with Derrick and his mum and sister" I said smiling,

"Omg that's so nice tho, where will you guys be?" Kay asked, "my parents wanted to rent an AirBnB but Ricky's mum didn't agree so we will all be at the mansion" I replied again and they nodded.

We continued talking more until it was time for me to go for Javons Christmas recital.

"Baby babe where are you?" I called and asked Ricky, "will be there in a minute I'm looking for a parking spot" he responded.

Meanwhile I walked into the school looking for Javon, "mummy" someone screamed from behind me, "hi baby" I said opening my arms and hugging him, "are you ready?" I asked him, "a little nervous" he said, "you will do just fine, you are brave like mummy right?" I asked smiling, "mhm" he said and we both chuckled.

"Hi there" came a voice, "hi Mrs Riyad" it was Javons homeroom teacher,

"I just want to say for this term, Javon scored the highest in his class in the little class activities we did, he is really a fast learner and he has so much potential, you have a brilliant son" she said,

"Thank you so much" I appreciated, she nodded and tapped Javon and smiled then walked away, "I'm so proud of you" I said smiling while rubbing his cheeks, can't believe time flew by so fast and the more time passes by the more comfortable he becomes.

"Hi baby babe, hey buddy" Derrick came, "hi daddy" Javon greeted and his dad lifted him up .

"Hey buddy, we will be watching you from the stands, don't be nervous okay?" Derrick said, "yes dad" Javon responded.

He later walked and met his other classmates while Ricky and I walked to the sitting area, "what kept you?" I asked him as he was almost running late, "work" he said, "mission?" I asked and he shook his head, "the travel agency is having its annual Christmas party this night, everyone is going on a break, so we were planning the event" he answered and I nodded.

"I'll pick you and Javon up tonight? 7pm so we go to the party together" he said again, "okay" I responded dryly.

We sat down beside some other parents and damn, it looks like we are the only young parents in this area which we sat in.

Later the recital started. Javon walked and introduced the song they were going to sing before they started, "aww look at them" I said to Ricky holding his arm.

"Whose cute boy is that? The one in the green hoodie" a lady from beside me asked but not directly, talking about Javon, "he's mine" I said smiling, "your brother?" She asked and I shook my head, "my son" I said proudly and she smiled and nodded, "he's cute" she complimented. Later it was over and the children started running to their parents,

"Hiii" I greeted Javon carrying him and spinning him, "you did a great job sweetie" I said and he smiled, "how did I do dad?" He turned to his father, "you were great" Derrick said and Javon smiled.

We later went back to his class and grabbed his things before walking to my car, "see you this evening" Ricky said and gave me a goodbye kiss. I carried Javon in and refreshed him.
