Pick the gift - December 2021

You started Christmas shopping in June and by the time December came around you had everything for Christmas in order. Or you had hoped too. No matter how much you wracked your brains or how many people you asked. You couldn't come up with a gift for Tyler.

Deciding that you only had one thing to give him you drove up to the Lockwood house and let yourself in. "Tyler?" You called out.

"Yeah. (Y/N)?" Tyler called back. You headed through the rooms until you found him with his uncle. "What're you doing here?"

"Well. Ok. I." You started. His uncle was staring at you with an odd smile on his face and it was making you a little uncomfortable. Tyler sighed and got up from his seat, bringing you into the other room. "Well. I was thinking about what to get you for Christmas and I could think of anything. For one night you can have me be your partner in anything. Except something weird or dodgey." You said quickly.

"Anything?" He asked. You nodded and he seemed to get a look that crossed his face as if he had an evil plan.

"OK. I know what I want." He said after a moment of silence.

"What is it?" You asked hesitantly.

"I want to take you to the new restaurant that opened. Tonight. Does six sound good?" Tyler asked.

"Yeah... are you sure that you'll be able to get in there? Caroline said it was booked. Even Stefan couldn't get a seat." You asked and he laughed.

"I'm sure. I'll pick you up from yours." Tyler said with a smile on his face. You jumped when you turned to leave and saw Tyler's uncle in the doorway. For a moment Tyler glared at him but the smile slid back onto his face as he led you out to your car.
