Tyler stared at you as you continued talking. You hadn't even registered what he said until you finished and he was still staring. "Wait... What did you say?" You asked.

"I think I'm falling in love with you." He repeated. There was an awkward silence as you stared at him and he stared at you, shuffling a little as he was clearly nervous. Your mouth fell open for a moment before snapping shut. Then you frowned and nodded.

"Ok. That's... fine but we really have to deal with the thing in there." You said as the crashing from inside Elena's house continued.

"I said I think I love you and you're talking about whatever is in there trashing Elena's house?" Tyler asked as he followed where you were pointing.

"Well... firstly you said you think you're falling in love with me which isn't really giving me anything. Either you're in love or you're not. Also, this is like the worst possible time because I can't afford to replace Elena's house and probably several sentimental items. Maybe you can but I can't!" You said sounding a little exasperated as one of the windows broke but a spell on the house kept the creature inside.

"But... I... opened up to you!" He insisted.

"Now. You chose right now to do it. Why couldn't you have done it earlier when we were all eating breakfast?" You asked. While you spoke you spotted a shovel in the garden near a flowerbed. Picking it up you headed inside hoping you might be able to hit the creature hard enough to knock it out and restrain it until the others got back.

"But everyone was there then..." Tyler continued.

"Well yeah, but you could have asked to speak to me alone for a minute. Now, are you done?" You asked and he looked at you flabbergasted.

"You don't want to talk about this?" He asked and waved his hands about as if he was very upset.

"Of course I do... but you know. Potential man-eating monster on the loose... horny werewolf. I'm prioritising... Are you going to help me or moan about it?" You asked as you approached the door.

"Yes! Fine, I'll help you but we're talking after." He insisted as he went to open the door for you.

"That's fine. We should just stop this thing first." You assured him. He was frowning and seemed overly grumpy while the two of you headed into the house and shut the door.
