"Next!" You called as the customer you'd just served fumbled with their change and hurried off. You rolled your eyes when you saw that the next person in line was Tyler. He'd been trying to get you to talk to him for days.

"What can I get you?" You asked with our best customer service smile.

"I need to talk to you." He said, ignoring your question.

"About the menu?" You asked, refusing to break.

"About your date the other night." He snapped quietly. The people in the line behind him started to complain, glancing around and muttering loudly about the wait time.

"I'm not talking to you about that while I'm at work." You said firmly. Your co-worker hurried over, from out at the back, to see what the delay was.

"You know if you need to you can take your break." They said quickly.

"Great. So we can talk." Tyler said. You glared at your co-worker as you took your apron off and went round the counter, following him outside.

"We don't have anything to talk about." You said as soon as you were outside and away from the door to the cafe. Tyler rolled his eyes and scowled at you.

"We dated for several years and then you just go off with someone!" Tyler shouted.

"I broke up with you because you're an asshole Tyler. Then I went on a date after waiting for a few months. You're just being selfish." You said back with an angry tone.

"How is it selfish?! You're mine. I don't want anyone else having you the way I have you." Tyler was so furious he was shaking.

"You need to get this through your thick werewolf skull. I left you. I am with someone else. You have no say in any of it. If you carry on we're going to fight and we both know I'm the stronger werewolf." You were calm. Eerily calm. It put Tyler on edge and made him hesitate. He had wanted an argument. He had expected one, shouting and pacing. He didn't like that you were calm and looked ready to head back in.

"This isn't over." Tyler snapped as he turned to walk away.

"No. It is over. We're done. Get over it." Still calm as you spoke, you were the one that walked away. He stayed outside and stared at the door as you headed in. Deciding to take full advantage of your break you grabbed yourself some food from the shelves and made yourself lunch before going back out to work the till. When you looked out the window you saw Tyler was gone. Hoping he'd stay gone you let him fall from your thoughts.
